Singing sensation Charice Pempengco is really pushing the level up as she prepares her stint in the hit musical drama "Glee".

The 18-year-old Filipino singer is getting non-invasive cosmetic makeover for her Glee debut. She received Botox injections and underwent Thermage anti-aging procedure.

According to celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo, the procedure were part of an effort to make her "naturally round face" more narrow.

Charice said, "All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele)? So of course there is tremendous pressure."

In a new development, a rep. for Charice release a statement denying the Botox is to change her appearance. The reason for the procedure is "to relieve a jaw problem similar to TMJ."

"It did not hurt; it relieved the pain," Charice's rep tells Us. "You've seen her face - she doesn't have a wrinkle in it so she wouldn't need it for cosmetic purposes. The Glee people are thrilled with the way she looks which is why she got the part."
