Jessica Simpson: Melrose Place is "Crap"

Keeping their heads high, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is playing it cool after being axed in the TV series "Melrose Place" while her sister Jessica Simpson heats up as she slammed the CW series calling it "Crap".

On Jessica's Twitter page, "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."

Jessica show that she's a supportive big sister and half of her tweet message is right. Ashlee is the well buzz cast member of "Melrose Place" but acting, Hmmm...

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield: moving out of Melrose Place

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will be leaving her CW series Melrose Place and her co-star Colin Egglesfield is also set to be cut. The producers claim that their character was only intended for the murder mystery scenario. Ashlee's final Melrose Place episode air in January.

Exec. producer Todd Slavkin explained to EW’s Michael Ausiello:

What was behind the decision to let Ashlee and Colin go?
TODD SLAVKIN: Well, we always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And we always knew that [Ashlee's] character of Violet would be instrumental in that as a suspect, and [Colin's character of] Augie as well. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. That was the original plan going into the development of the show.

So it was always the plan for Ashlee to leave after episode 12?
SLAVKIN: Yes. Because we felt that once the murder mystery was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift into a much more fun, romantic, sexy upbeat kind of show, and [her] character would move on.

How did Ashlee and Colin take the news?
SLAVKIN: They’re total professionals and they took it like professionals. When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a complete shock.

Pete Wentz wants a big family (soccer team)

Pete Wentz's dream to have a family as big as a soccer team will be temporarily will be halted due to his career and his wife's Ashlee Simpson-Wentz busy schedules at this moment.

The 30 year-old musician tells People, "Everything is awesome about being a dad. Eventually we want to be able to have a soccer team." He also added, "schedule and time things right... Ashlee is really focused on Melrose Place right now and I'm figuring what I'm doing next year."

Pete also shared that he realized all the good things given and done to him by his own father.

"It makes me realize all of the little things that my dad sacrificed when he had me," Wentz says. "It's sad it took 30 years but I totally realize it now."

Connie on aging and how she stays in shape: “I’m in an environment where I have a lot of information about how to stay healthy and live a good life. I love vegan and raw food, I love to exercise. If I weren’t in this business, I think I would be aging differently. I’m fortunate because, for whatever reason, I’ve never looked at myself as, Oh, my gosh, I have to be the most beautiful. I’ve always worked from the inside out, not the outside in.”

Connie on n marriage and her Friday Night Lights co-star Kyle Chandler: “It’s been fun playing this role on Friday Night Lights. Kyle’s a great TV husband. We have so many conversations about partnership and what that means to us, what our values are. We have the same perspective on conflicts and where we need to make sure we are grounded and have solidarity. Choosing to be in a monogamous relationship is one of the greatest challenges of being a human being. I have a much less conventional view about it now. It’s about the partnership and the choice to make a commitment.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is joining the "Melrose Place"

Aside from her guest appearance with husband Pete Wentz in "CSI: NY" March 18 episode, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is reportedly one of the tenant of CW's (remake) series "Melrose Place".

According to EW, Ashlee will play Violet - a small town girl, a character whose disarming naiveté masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within.

Other new resident on new Melrose Place are Katie Cassidy as Ella (publicist) and Michael Rady as Jonah (filmmaker).

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson's "CSI: NY" project

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson has signed an acting gig in an episode for CSI: NY.

Reportedly, "Ashlee will be playing 'Lia Wickfield' and Pete will be playing 'Chester Bryon'. They are a 'Bonnie and Clyde'-like couple."

The said episode will be shown on March 18, 2009.

Other celebrities who guested in CSI are Taylor Swift, Rumer Willis and Nelly.
