Kate Beckinsale joins Mark Wahlberg In "Contraband"

Actress Kate Beckinsale is jumping to another action-thriller flick as the good people at Latino Review reports that she secured the role for the upcoming film titled, "Contraband" via Working Title Films.

Attached to this movie since last year is Mark Wahlberg .

The story is about an ex-freight ship worker, fired for smuggling alcohol between Reykjavic and Rotterdam, is struggling as a security guard. His best friend convinces him to sign on for one last crooked job. The worker doesn’t realize his friend has set him up and plans to make off with his family while he’s away at sea.

This is remake of the Icelandic thriller "Reykjavik-Rotterdam". Baltasar Kormakur, who starred in the film, and produced it and owned remake rights, will direct the remake.

Mark Wahlberg is set for "Reykjavik-Rotterdam" remake

Mark Wahlberg is set to star in the Icelandic thriller remake "Reykjavik-Rotterdam" via Working Title Films.
Aaron Guzikowski (“Prisoners”) will write the script. Baltasar Kormakur, who starred in the film, and produced it and owned remake rights, will direct the remake.

Mark Wahlberg wed longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham

Max Payne star Mark Wahlberg and his longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham are finally decided to tie the knot at the Good Shephard Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, Saturday (August 1).

The ceremony was about 45 minutes and Rhea wore a white, strapless Marchesa dress and Neil Lane jewels.

Mark and Rhea have been dating since 2001 and have three children together (Ella, 5, Michael, 3, and Brendan, 10 months).


Christian Bale is pushing the limit

Still continuously pushing the limit, Christian Bale's notorious method in adapting his body in a role is really remarkable and scary. Look at the photo below were he shot scenes with Mark Wahlberg in Boston -July 28.

His portrayal as a a "boxer-turned trainer-turned-drug addict" Dickie Eklund for the upcoming movie "The Fighter" is a jaw dropping dedication.

Franco and Wahlberg joins Steve Carell and Tina Fey's "Date Night"

James Franco and Mark Wahlberg are on board for the upcoming comedy film "Date Night" with Steve Carell and Tina Fey.
According to Variety, Wahlberg and Franco have signed on for supporting roles in the Shawn Levy-helmed comedy for 20th Century Fox. Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji P. Henson and Kristen Wiig have also boarded the project.

Wahlberg plays a successful and crazily buff securities expert who flirts with Fey's character. Franco portrays a not-too-bright conman and petty criminal. Meester is onboard as the couple's babysitter. Henson plays the one good cop who believes the couple is in danger, and Common portrays a villain. Wiig, who worked with Fey on "Saturday Night Live," rounds out the cast as the actress' best friend.
Wow! Very interesting cast to look forward.. Great actors willing to do minor roles for Tina and Steve.

It's becoming more interesting for Aaron Guzikowski's "Prisoners". Reportedly, Christian Bale will be joining Mark Wahlberg in this thrilling vigilante movie and it will be helm by Bryan Singer.

After his 6-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped, a small-town carpenter butts heads with a young, brash detective in charge of the investigation. The father is a Bible-reading, deer-hunting survivalist. The cop, meanwhile, can’t wait to get to the city. Feeling failed by the law, the father captures the man he believes responsible and begins to torture him in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with the girls, whom he’s convinced are still alive.
