Mel Gibson is depressed father who uses a beaver handpuppet to communicate in the upcoming dark comedy The Beaver. 

Plagued by his own demons, Walter Black was once a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression. No matter what he tries, Walter can't seem to get himself back on track... until a beaver hand puppet enters his life.

His friend Jodie Foster, plays his wife and directs the film.

Liam Neeson on ‘Hangover 2’ & Mel Gibson: "Mel’s cool about it"

Liam Neeson shared that he and Mel Gibson are in good terms even though he replaced him in the cameo role for The Hangover 2.

Describing their conversation as "very pleasant", Liam Neeson tells Access Hollywood:

 “I spoke to Mel. Mel’s cool about it. We’re all cool.”

Liam also denies tattoo artist character in the sequel and he didn't shoot the scene in Thailand, where the sequel takes place.

“No,” Liam laughed. “It was (at the) Warner Brothers studio. I wish [it was Thailand]!”

Director Todd Phillips gave his reason on why he decided to replaced Mel Gibson, who is originally cast for the role. Philip says that "The Hangover is a family" and he "didn’t want anything to come in between that family.”

Liam and Mel previously worked together in 1984 historical film "The Bounty".

‘Hangover 2' Director Todd Phillips On why he fired Mel Gibson

Director Todd Phillips gave his reason on why he decided to axed Mel Gibson's appearance in the upcoming "The Hangover 2".

"He’s one of our finest actors and, quite honestly, one of our finest directors. But The Hangover 2 is a family … and as much as I loved the idea, a lot of people didn’t … I didn’t want anything to come in between that family.”

Mel's role as a tattoo artist will now go to Liam Neeson.

Quoting one line from The Godfather movie -- "don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family"!

Liam Neeson Replaces Mel Gibson in Hangover 2

Mel Gibson's role for The Hangover 2 was canceled after the cast reportedly objected and felt unhappy with Gibson's cameo appearance. New news popped up and it seems Liam Neeson will be replacing Mel Gibson for the spot.

His A-Team co-star Bradley Cooper invited Liam for the sequel role.

"I just got a call to do a one day shoot on 'Hangover 2' as a tattooist in Thailand, and that's all I know about it," Neeson told Daily Variety. "I just laughed my leg off when I saw 'The Hangover, I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV."

Liam is a great actor and many surely excited to see him  for the upcoming sequel.

Mel Gibson Cut From Hangover Sequel

No cameo for Mel Gibson in the upcoming "The Hangover 2". The cast members are reportedly uncomfortable with Mel being in the film because of the recent domestic violence controversy.

"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."

Great move from Warner Bros., it is not the right time to cast Mel especially with the potential of this sequel movie.

Mel Gibson will do a Cameo in 'The Hangover 2'

It is nice to hear a different news about Mel Gibson aside from his disastrous relationship breakup with ex-girlfriend/baby mama Oksana Grigorieva. The 54 year-old actor will be appearing in "The Hangover 2" according to New York Post's Page Six.

"It's a done deal," a source told Page Six. "Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October."

Mel will be playing the role of a Bangkok tattooist and surely he will encounter the disastrous adventure of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifianakis and Justin Bartha.

Mel Gibson doing "fine" after car crash

Mel Gibson was involved in a car accident after his 2008 Maserati sports car crashed into a Malibu hillside. Gibson reportedly lost control of his car and ended up striking the rocky hills.

According to the California Highway Patrol report, obtained by TMZ, "For unknown reasons, Mr. Gibson steered his car to the right and struck the rock hillside. He stopped his car at the scene and was contacted by officers from the West Valley CHP Area."

CHP Public Information Officer Leland Tang tells TMZ ... "Gibson told officers in the field he did not know how the car drifted out of the lane and into the hillside." Tang said his officers followed up by asking Gibson if he was on a cell phone and he said no. Tang adds officers also asked Gibson if he had dozed off "but he did not give a firm 'yes' or 'no'." Gibson just repeated several times, "I don't know how the car left the roadway."

"Mr. Gibson supplied all the pertinent information to the officers at the scene, gave a statement, and received a ride home from a friend."

CHP spokesman Leland Tang shared that there's no sign of alcohol in this incident, "There were no objective symptoms of intoxication, any level of impairment and we've ruled out speeding as well based on the damage to the car, which was moderate. Mr. Gibson was alert, oriented and cooperative."

Gibson is not injured in this incident, a rep for the actor said "He's fine."

It seems Gibson needs some luck! He is sill facing a nasty custody dispute over his daughter with his baby mama/singer Oksana Grigorieva plus the alleged assault.

Oksana Grigorieva's Bruised Face After Mel Gibson confrontation (Photo)

Here's another photo evidence released by radaronline of Oksana Grigorieva's bruised face which was taken January 7, the day after she claims that Mel Gibson's punched her twice in the face.

Oksana claims Mel choked her with his forearm while holding their baby Lucia. Mel allegedly punched her in the mouth and near the left temple. Her left eye and forehead in this new photo got a swollen bruised.

Radar previously released a photo of Oksana with broken teeth due their confrontation. Mel denies hitting his baby mama and he claims Oksana wants to extort money.

Mel's infamous rant which was caught on tape and this photo will be included as evidence on Gibson's domestic violence charges and custody battle over their eight-month-old daughter Lucia.

Oksana Grigorieva’s Broken Teeth (PHOTO)

A photo evidence that will shows Oksana Grigorieva's broken teeth, which was taken after Mel Gibson allegedly punched her in the face was released by RadarOnline.

The photograph which you can find HERE is part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigation for domestic violence filed by Oksana to her ex. She claims that during the incident, she's holding their baby daughter, Lucia when Mel punched her which damaged her two upper front teeth and left her with a concussion.

Mel Gibson needs a lot of explanations to save his image with his infamous racial rant and outburst against his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva. The controversial audio recording of the incident was released online.

Following his racist rant from a tape recording, actor Mel Gibson is caught on tape again admitting that he hit his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva.

Included in the controversial tape, Mel admits hitting Oksana twice while she was holding their baby daughter, Lucia.

Radaronline reports: On tape, a teary Oksana is heard asking Mel, “What kind of a man is that who would hit a woman when she is holding a child in her hands, hitting her twice in the face?

“What kind of a man is that?” the Russian musician repeats.

The Braveheart star responds: “You know what — you f**cking deserved it.”

Mel's camp previously denied that the actor hits Oksana but the lady musician claims that her teeth was knocked out during the violent confrontation and she also photos to proved it.

Al revelations are all part of their custody battle and restraining order to each other.

Mel Gibson fires N-Bomb and domestic abuse

A big blow for actor Mel Gibson's image and definitely he will need a bunch of explanations about his violent reactions towards his baby mama, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva after he was caught on tape having a meltdown, cursing, dropping the N-bomb and the shocking rape comment.

Mel Gibson caught on tape screaming, "You look like a f*king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of ni**ers it will be your fault."

In another disturbing tirade, Mel also says: "How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so f**king nice ... I am going to come and burn the f--king house down... but you will blow me first."

It was secretly recorded by Oksana and it is now being used for the custody battle. It seems this is the reason why Mel filed a restraining order against her to prevent this information to come out but the evidence of abuse was leaked out.

Mel has a history of bad temper and tantrums. This is definitely a verbal abuse and Oksana's accusations of being hit in the face by Mel has an impact.

Oksana Grigorieva: Mel Gibson Broke My Teeth; hasn't received any penny from Mel

Aside filing restraining orders to each other, more nasty details emerging in Mel Gibson and his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva's split-up. Allegedly during their confrontation early this year, Mel Gibson attacked Oksana by punching her in the face twice.

According to TMZ, Sources in Oksana's camp say Mel's people are lying when they say she shook the baby. Instead, the sources say, "She tried to protect the baby during one of Gibson's violent episodes when he punched Oksana in the face two times, breaking her teeth and giving her a concussion."

"She tried to protect his reputation, despite her fears of him and his verbal and physical abuse. She regrets having believed in his empty promises to obtain professional help to control his violent nature."

The Russian singer-pianist claims that she's not receiving any financial support from Mel Gibson in raising their daughter Lucia. She tells dailymail that she has had to "borrow money" from friends.

"I am having to live on credit cards and borrowed money. It is not a good situation." and added "He is not paying me a penny, Nothing."

Oksana filed a restraining order against Mel over the custody and visitation of their nine-month-old daughter while Mel's restraining order against her is to to modify the visitation issues and to prevent her from releasing certain details about the case.

They split up last April and it seems they separated amicably but later on Oksana hinted a deeper issue on their break-up. Nine-month-old daughter Lucia is Mel Gibson's eighth child.

Oksana Grigorieva Files Restraining Order Against Mel Gibson

Singer Oksana Grigorieva is reportedly is the first one who filed a restraining order against Mel Gibson for domestic violence not the other way around.

Oksana went to the family law court and claimed that Mel was "extremely violent" and she wants a restraining order "prohibiting Mel from having any contact with her".

"Octo-Mel" indeed filed a restraining order against his baby mama but it is only to prohibit Oksana from releasing certain information and Mel'scamp to modify the visitation issues to their daughter Lucia.

Gibson and Grigorieva decided to split up last April and Oksana hinted a deeper issue on their break-up.

"Gibson filed a temporary restraining order, a notice about a forthcoming court hearing and a notice of visitation rights and child custody."

Oksana hinted that her split-up with Gibson is "sudden" and both are not in good terms. Allegedly, Mel got involved with Polish porn actress named Violet Kowal that cause the split-up with Oksana.

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva welcomes baby girl

It is now confirmed that Mel Gibson is a certified "Octo-Mel" as he become a father for the eighth time. His Russian singer-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to a baby girl.

According to People, Gibson's rep. Alan Nierob said, "This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles."

This will be Mel's first child with Oksana and he also has seven children with his wife of 28 years, Robyn.

UPDATE: According to ET, they named the new baby girl Lucia Gibson.

Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster team up for "The Beaver"

Mel Gibson will team up once again with Jodie Foster for the upcoming drama flick "The Beaver" in which Jodie will also helm the said movie.

According to Variety, "Gibson will play a depressed man who finds solace in wearing a beaver hand-puppet. On top of helming, Foster will play the role of the man’s wife."

"Anonymous Content's Steve Golin and Keith Redmon will produce the film. Producers are pushing for a September start date in New York."

Their chemistry was spotted in 1994's "Maverick."

Meanwhile, "Octo-Mel" is currently expecting a baby with girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
