Sandra Bullock, Oprah Winfrey & Meryl Streep for untitled Michael Patrick King's Project
Sandra Bullock is teaming up with her fellow A-list celebrities Oprah Winfrey and Meryl Streep in an untitled comedy project by Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King.
According to Deadline, the story is "set in and around the world of a Home Shopping-type network and follows the characters as they make their way through the maze of mania that surrounds marketing, marriages and the media."
Michael shared that he started writing the script which "became so specific to them that I wanted to be sure I had interest from these ladies." His eying the script done by January and hopes to begin production next summer.
Just thinking of it -- Very excited and pump up! Two words: Sure Hit!

Julia Roberts & Meryl Streep teaming up for "August: Osage County"
Hit in the making! Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep are reportedly in negotiations to star together in the film adaptation of the Tony-winning play "August: Osage County".
According to Deadline, "Streep will play Violet, the drug-addicted matriarch of the working class Weston clan and Roberts will play Barbara Fordham, the oldest daughter in the family. That sounds very interesting, especially since both ladies are amazing actresses!"
John Wells will direct the movie and production will start by next summer.

Meryl Streep to play Margaret Thatcher in biopic movie "Iron Lady"
Award winning actress Meryl Streep is eying to play the role of Margaret Thatcher in a biopic movie titled "Iron Lady". Thatcher is Britain's first female prime minister.
According to THR, "The film is set in 1982 and tracks Thatcher as she tries to save her career in the 17 days preceding the 1982 Falklands War. The 2 1/2-month war was a turning point for the prime minister, who, after the victory, saw her approval ratings double and went on to win a second term."
This film is about the power and dedication of a woman who clashed the barriers in a male-dominated world.
Meryl Streep will be working again with her "Mamma Mia!" director Phyllida Lloyd.

Still on top at age 60: “It’s incredible—I’m 60, and I’m playing the romantic lead in romantic comedies! Bette Davis is rolling over in her grave.”
Grateful for her life and career: “I’m very fucking grateful to be alive. I have so many friends who are sick or gone, and I’m here. Are you kidding? No complaints!”
Becoming the new “box-office queen", 2008 screen musical Mamma Mia grossed $601 million worldwide, The Devil Wears Prada brought $324 million, and most recently, Julie & Julia, which has earned $121 and counting.

Joseph McCarthy for alleged communist ties.In the first major motion picture based on a blog, Meryl Streep portrays Julia Child, and Amy Adams appears as Julie Powell. The film is scheduled for August 7, 2009 release.
