Part 1 of the video (Oprah)

Part 2 of the video and “A Note to God” lyrics after the jump...

Note To God Lyrics:

if I wrote a note to god,
I would speak what’s in my soul
I’d ask for all the hate to be swept away
and for love to over flow

if I wrote a note to god
I’d pour my heart out on each page
I’d ask for war to end
and for peace to mend this world

I’d say, I’d say
I’d say
give us the strength to make it through
help us find love, coz love is over due
and it looks like we haven’t got a clue
need some help from you
grant us the faith to carry on
give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
coz it seems like so much is goin wrong
on this road we’re on

if I wrote a note to god
I would say what on my mind
I’d ask for wisdom to let compassion rule this world
until these times

if I wrote a note to god,
I’d say please help us find our way
and all the bitterness with some tenderness in our hearts

I’d say, I’d say
I’d say
give us the strength to make it through
help us find love, coz love is over due
and it looks like we haven’t got a clue
need some help from you
grant us the faith to carry on
give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
coz it seems like so much is goin wrong
on this road we’re on

no no no no
we can’t do this on our own
so .. sooooo

give us the strength to make it through
help us find love, coz love is over due
and it looks like we haven’t got a clue
need some help from you
grant us the faith to carry on
give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
coz it seems like so much is goin wrong
on this road we’re on

if I wrote a note to god

We insist on maintaining a campus environment that commands mutual respect, fosters academic excellence and encourages learners to fulfill their best potential. Indiscretions resulting in disciplinary action are common in schools all over the world. Unfortunately, because of my name these common infractions place the Academy in the media spotlight."

Two Powerful ladies in "O" mag: First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey

First Lady Michelle Obama poses with daytime queen Oprah Winfrey as they talk about Michelle's new life in the White House.

Some highlights of the interview:

Oprah: So after the inauguration, what was your first weekend in the White House like?

Michelle Obama: Well, we still had family here, so it was almost like a wedding. A huge, very complicated wedding. The last visitors didn't leave until Sunday. And then the first Monday was kind of weird. You know: "Now we live here, and Barack is getting up and going to work, and it's just us. This is our home now."

Oprah: I had heart palpitations coming through the White House gate, recognizing that this really is now your home. It's the White House, and it's your home.

Michelle Obama: And it's a beautiful home. When you go out and come back, especially at night, with all the white lights on—it's just beautiful. We feel privileged, and we feel a responsibility to make it feel like the people's house. We have the good fortune of being able to sleep here, but this house belongs to America.

Oprah: How will the decorating style change?

Michelle Obama: It will reflect our family. I want comfortable sofas, I want art that reflects contemporary and traditional, I want to bring in new American artisans.

Oprah Winfrey the legislator?

It seems the controversial Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is making a mockery on dropping names in his recent interview even if he is battling an impeachment trial. He called the trial unconstitutional.

He named and considered Oprah Winfrey to be the next successor for Barack Obama's Senate seat. The only think that he didn't pursue this idea is
"she probably wouldn't take it, [and] if I offered it to her how do you make sure it doesn't look like a gimmick?
In Oprah's side, she will not take the position.
She said, "Absolutely not"

"I would have said, ‘Where would I fit it in with my day job? My mid-day job, my night job, my radio job, my magazine job?'" Winfrey said to her friend Gayle King on King's Sirius radio show.

Oprah also said, "I’m pretty amused by the whole thing."
