Mischa Barton's is on on a destructive path

It seems like Mischa Barton's lifestyle has finally taken to a ruinous path which affected her health and even her friends saw it coming.

One of her friend said, "She has been on a destructive path for a while now. Her drug and alcohol [use] has gotten to a point where it drove people away. I don't think she knows her limits".

The former O.C. actress was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold and was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Mischa Barton under involuntary psychiatric hold

The LAPD removed Mischa Barton from her West Hollywood and placed under involuntary psychiatric hold. She was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday evening.

Access Hollywood reports that Barton was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold (also known as a 5150) of the California Welfare and Institutions Code by police and transported to Cedars-Sinai.

According to the code, authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder. This same code was used to hold Britney Spears twice in Los Angeles in January 2008.

Barton has a previous record in 2008 with DUI and marijuana possession. She was sentenced to 36 months probation.

Mischa Barton says "Marriage is bad for relationships"

Actress Mischa Barton does not believe in the sanctity of marriage and she feels that it only add pressure to the couple that cause relationships to break down. The 23 years-old actress only plan is to stay unattached for as long as possible.

She said, "I'm not a huge fan of marriage. It puts too much pressure on the relationship. People try harder until they're married and then you see a lot of relationships fall apart because it's the last step. There's nothing left."

But the time she will get knock up, Mischa is eventually will think the possibility of Marriage.

"Whoever is going to be the father of my children I'll probably inevitably marry - but that's not on the cards any time soon."

Mischa Barton is having "A Beautiful Life"

Mischa Barton recently revealed that her parents still bit confused and cautious about what she do, now she can give a hint what she can really can do.

In spite of the rumored job in the new CW remake of "The Melrose Place" which slip out of his hands, Mischa Barton will return to the small screen via a new CW series "A Beautiful Life", produced by Ashton Kutcher.

Says Mischa via PEOPLE, "Ashton developed it about his life growing up as a model from Iowa, so it's about the whole fashion world that he was in, and obviously I have a lot of friends in the fashion world, so I'm used to being around a lot of people in that. [I play] a bitchy model-type character, like it's a totally different character for me."

Mischa Barton announced her split-up from Rocker Luke Pritchard

Mischa Barton is single and ready to mingle after she called it quits with Luke Pritchard of the band the Kooks.

She announced the split up via her blog with post entry title, "Clearing the Air...Again".

"I'm sure you guys are all going to hear about it soon enough so I just wanted to tell you what is real first -- I broke up with Luke when I got to London. Things just didn't feel quite right. There was no cheating or anything terrible, the bad just started to outweigh the good and a long distance relationship is never an easy thing to do.

I hope that the press will show some respect in the near future as we both find it very difficult to deal with a lot of attention or speculation from the media. I think Luke is a great guy, but the type better suited as a friend. We have a surprising amount of mutual friends in England and I don't regret our time together, I just couldn't keep it going.

There is no bitterness between us...that I know of (sorry, I had to joke!). If there ever is a case of two people staying friends I'm sure it will be the case with us -- our personalities are very good for that.

Mischa Barton's holiday vacation in India

Aside from exploring new spiritual ideas in India, Mischa Barton stayed and spend her recent holiday vacation on the said country. She shared her experiences and activities via her blog.

Here are some photos from my Christmas vacation in Goa. The ocean there was so beautiful and warm I didn't want to get out. I would swim all day, ate mostly a vegetarian diet and bought some beautiful things from the vendors I bargained with -- jewelry, saris, you name it.

Christmas was certainly different this year, as I usually ski during the holiday. But the Christmas display in Goa was beautiful.

Mischa Barton exploring new spiritual ideas

Mischa Barton is enjoying her time working and relaxing in India. The former O.C. actress blogged it out that she becoming interested in learning and exploring new faith like Buddhism.

So guys India has been amazing. A little frenetic, as they do things a little different here! So it's been tough with the long shoot days to check in much! But the people are amazing, so eager to please and I've learned so much from them.

I've been having an amazing spiritual exploration visiting Hindu temples and learning about Buddhism, both beautiful religions. Hyderabad where we're filming is a real inspiration in the fact that Christians, Muslims and Hindus all get along so harmoniously. I must admit I used to make fun of people who were all into yoga and chai tea thinking it was another ridiculous health fad. But now I'm that person! First of all Masala Chai tea, the traditional way with milk and sugar is delicious, and this is coming from a brit who only likes my breakfast tea!

I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it's coming along real slow as apparently it's not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here, I guess it not late 60's with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around unfortunately!!!!

Goa was my christmas break, and it was stunning, I actually went to South Goa (which isn't the party side of town) thats the North bit, but I'll post tons of footage for you guys out there. If only technology didn't hate me and I was decent with electronics! But I went parasailing, jet skiing and swimming in the ocean for ages every day. The colors, fabrics, food will blow your mind....so stay tuned to see me on my vacation and what I got up to.

Mischa Barton at a Fashion fundraiser plus dress malfunction

More polishing on her image. Mischa Barton was spotted in a fashion event fundraiser for safe child birth group.

Held at the BFC tent at the Natural History Museum in London, the “Fashion For Relief” show was organized by Naomi Campbell to raise money for The White Ribbon Alliance fund.


After the event when she entering to her car, another dress malfunction (dress fell down and exposed her left breast) happened to her giving another kind of show for paparazzi.

The 22-year-old former “O.C.” star quickly covered herself up and buried her head in her hands as the car pulled away.

Mischa on her DUI arrest: “That was a low point for me. I never, ever would have thought I would be arrested. Like, it was one of those things that I never thought would happen to me, and I was disappointed because it associated me with a group of girls that I would rather not be associated with.”

Mischa on TV and movies: “In TV, actors literally ignore the directors, which I find wild. I couldn’t understand that when I started on television. I’d always go to the director and ask him questions, and he’d look at me with a blank stare like, ‘Why are you here?’”
