Jodie Foster & Kate Winslet in Roman Polanski's"God Of Carnage"

Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet will be teaming up for Roman Polanski's movie adaption of Yasima Reza’s Tony-winning play "God Of Carnage".

According to Deadline, "Inglourious Basterds" actor Christoph Waltz and Matt Dillon are also included in this movie.

God of Carnage tells the story of two sets of parents who meet after their sons are involved in a schoolyard fight. The meeting goes disastrously wrong as each pair attacks the other’s parenting skills before turning on each other about problems in their own marriages.

Roman Polanski is Free; won't be Extradited to United States

Award winning director Roman Polanski will now see the daylight of freedom after the Swiss government denied United States' extradition request over sex charges in 1977. The court decided that they are not in the right position to judge the degree of his crime.
"It’s not about qualifying the crime. That is not our job,” Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said. “It’s also not about deciding over guilt or innocence.”
Polanski pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 but then fled the United States before he could be sentenced. Last year, he was arrested in Switzerland during Zurich Film Festival. Swiss court granted him a $4.5 million bail for his released aand since then Polanski is fighting his extradition.

The extradition request was denied after legal records required by Switzerland were not supplied by the US. The downside with this development is the US government can’t apply another extradition in this country, but they can apply to other countries to have Roman detained and extradited.

Roman Polanski granted bail ($4.5 million)

Minor freedom for Oscar-winning film director Roman Polanski after the Swiss court granted him a $4.5 million bail but still the Swiss government has the last say.

76-year-old director will be wearing an electronic monitoring device on his ankle and remain under house arrest.
"The court considers bail in the amount of 4.5 million Swiss francs offered by Polanski, together with supporting measures, as being sufficient to avert the risk of flight," the Swiss Federal Criminal Court said in a statement.
U.S. and Switzerland is currently working out his extradition details.

Director Roman Polanski is receiving medical treatment

Roman Polanski is receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment and currently he was transferred from prison to a hospital.
His French Lawyer Herve Temine said, “All I know is that he has been taken from prison for medical attention. I don’t know where he is or when he will be returned to prison.”
The 76-year-old director is still in prison after his bail was denied. He was scheduled to attend the Zurich Film Festival when arrest happened last month.

Director Roman Polanski arrested

After avoiding the sex charges and fleeing the United States in 1978, Director Roman Polanski was finally arrested during his entry in Switzerland to attend the Zurich Film Festival.

Polanski pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 but then fled the United States before he could be sentenced.

According to Apnews, "The Swiss statement said Polanski was in "provisional detention for extradition," but added he would not be transferred to U.S. authorities until all proceedings are completed. Polanski can contest his detention and any extradition decision in the Swiss courts, it said."

Zurich Film Festival is set to honor Polanski for lifetime achievement award.
