Christopher De Leon in "Maalaala Mo Kaya"

Philippines' award-winning dramatic actor Christopher De Leon will headline another heartwarming episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya", ABS-CBN's longest-running drama anthology.

Other cast includes Bangs Garcia as Mabel (Buloy's daughter), Mica Torre, Kyle Balili, Aubrey Caraan, Amy Nobleza, Shane Hermogenes, Kiray Celis and Makisig Morales.
Directed by Rechie del Carmen and the airing date, Saturday June 26.




Christopher plays the role of Buloy, a barangay official whose wife and daughter desert him. In his loneliness and yearning for a family, he spearheads a children’s choir in their town and spends the majority of his time training them to sing like pros. He even brings them to a nearby beach where they perform vocalization exercises. But behind his usual demeanor is a dying man who desperately wants to make a difference to fill the emptiness in his heart. Is it enough to surround himself with energetic and talented kids to make his misery go away? Will he ever get the chance to resolve his personal conflicts before it’s too late?

MMFF 2009: "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" latest trailer
Continuing the tradition of Regal Entertainment's groundbreaking family drama movie is their sixth installment of the "Mano Po" franchise.
Headlining "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" are award winning veteran artist like Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Christopher de Leon.
It is another Monteverde's entry to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Mixture of love, hatred and sacrifice will be experience in theaters on December 25, 2009.
Headlining "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" are award winning veteran artist like Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Christopher de Leon.
"Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" follows the story of Melinda Uy, a billionaire widow whose life is a rags-to-riches story. The daughter of a Chinese immigrant and a Filipino small businessman, Melinda had been a victim of discrimination in the local Chinese community, being only half-Chinese. Melinda was only in her late teens when she got married to Alfonso Uy, the scion of the wealthy Uy clan. But Alfonso’s parents frown upon the marriage, believing that it is cursed. Disappointed with Alfonso’s choice of wife, they disinherit him.Other cast includes Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Ricky Davao, JC De Vera, Glaiza de Castro, Ryan Eigenmann, Niña Jose, Ciara Sotto, Boots Anson-Roa, John Manalo, Nicole Uysiuseng special participation of Kris Aquino.
It is another Monteverde's entry to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Anne Curtis won Best Actress, "Baler" big winner in the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival (2008) awards night
The historical film "Baler" that Department of Education recommend bagged 10 awards in the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival (2008) awards night held at the Sofitel Hotel in Manila.
The period film "Baler" which also has a grade A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) was chosen Best Picture and Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award with its educational value.
The beautiful Anne Curtis won her first acting award as Best Actress for her performance in Baler. Co-star Phillip Salvador was named Best Supporting Actor while their director, Mark Meily, won Best Director.
Another movie who has an "A" rating in CEB was recognized, One of the lead star of the film "Magkaibigan," Christopher De Leon took home Best Actor recognition.

Magkaibigan (2008 Metro Manila Film Festival entry)

I'm talking about the drama flick "Magkaibigan" of Maverick Films. It is the story of two best friends, one of whom is stricken with cancer. It is based on the friendship of two actors Jinggoy Estrada and Rudy Fernandez.
