MMFF 2009: "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" latest trailer

Continuing the tradition of Regal Entertainment's groundbreaking family drama movie is their sixth installment of the "Mano Po" franchise.

Headlining "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" are award winning veteran artist like Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Christopher de Leon.

"Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love" follows the story of Melinda Uy, a billionaire widow whose life is a rags-to-riches story. The daughter of a Chinese immigrant and a Filipino small businessman, Melinda had been a victim of discrimination in the local Chinese community, being only half-Chinese. Melinda was only in her late teens when she got married to Alfonso Uy, the scion of the wealthy Uy clan. But Alfonso’s parents frown upon the marriage, believing that it is cursed. Disappointed with Alfonso’s choice of wife, they disinherit him.

Other cast includes Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Ricky Davao, JC De Vera, Glaiza de Castro, Ryan Eigenmann, Niña Jose, Ciara Sotto, Boots Anson-Roa, John Manalo, Nicole Uysiuseng special participation of Kris Aquino.

It is another Monteverde's entry to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Mixture of love, hatred and sacrifice will be experience in theaters on December 25, 2009.

A political campaign-music video in support for Noynoy Aquino was unveiled yesterday which shows deep emotions and a promise of hope for a better tomorrow.

The music video features an all-star cast from the kapamilya and kapuso network: Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta, Boy Abunda (who jump from Manny Villar to Noynoy), Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, James Yap, Aiai delas Alas, Mariel Rodriguez, Bianca Gonzales and many more..

Helm by Onat Diaz and Regine Velazquez sung the theme song "Hindi ka nag-iisa".

Kris Aquino doing Mano Po 6 for free; shooting her scene this week

Philippines' top TV host-actress Kris Aquino will once again join the "Mano Po" franchise and she will be working with veteran actress-TV host Sharon Cuneta.

On the sixth installment, Kris will doing some short scenes (special participation) as she will play Sharon Cuneta's best friend and she is doing the movie for free. She start filming this week.

The megastar plays the title role, the matriarch of an influential Chinese clan.

Sharon Cuneta set to star "Mano Po 6: My Mother"

Award-winning actress Sharon Cuneta will now be included in Lily Monteverde's "Mano Po" franchise. The Megastar has agreed to star in "Mano Po 6: My Mother."

According to Monteverde via abs-cbn news, "It is a dream come true for her to have Cuneta in one of her films. Talagang 'yan ang dream ko na before I retire, I really want to get her. 'Yan ang talagang dream ko way back 25 years ago."

The sixth installment of Mano Po will be directed by Joel Lamangan, story of a mother who will do anything just to get back her daughter. This is Regal Films' entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. Part of the scenes will be shot in Thailand.

Actress-host Sharon Cuneta reveals that her husband Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan is eying to be the next Vice President of the Philippines in 2010.

In her recent interview she said on her husband's VP plans, "Yes, as Vice President. It makes me very scared but excited for him at the same time."

With this announcement expect new controversies and old scandal that will emerge once more to pin Pangilinan down. Is this means that their will b showdown between Senator Kiko and actress-Governor Vilma Satos in 2010 if she also run for VP?

Award winning actress Sharon Cuneta and Comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas will be playing as best friends in this comedy flick which is schedule to shoot this month. The said film has no title yet.

Only revealed named included in the cast are John Estrada, Candy Pangilinan, Chokoleit and it will be directed by Wenn Deramas.
