GMA NEWS TV on Channel 11

GMA Network will be launching the GMA News TV on Channel 11, a 24-hour free television news channel

"From the men and women of GMA News and Public Affairs—the only broadcast news organization in the Philippines that has won the Peabody Award—GMA News TV is in response to the insistent public clamor for relevant and credible news reportage that only GMA News and Public Affairs can deliver.

"'We are responding to viewers' requests for timely news updates in Filipino and for public affairs shows at earlier timeslots with this groundbreaking news channel,' says News TV Head Nessa Valdellon.

"Bannered by the respected names in broadcast journalism—Jessica Soho, Mike Enriquez, Mel Tiangco, Arnold Clavio, Vicky Morales and Howie Severino—GMA News TV delivers serbisyong totoo with newscasts and public affairs programs, all in Filipino, from morning to night.

"Also part of the formidable lineup of names joining GMA News TV are Kara David, Prof. Winnie Monsod, and Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) Executive Director Malou Mangahas.

"In addition, Sheila Coronel of Columbia University, Newsbreak's Marites Vitug and Ed Lingao of PCIJ will be joining the channel as advisers for the investigative documentaries.

Iza Calzado to host Eat Bulaga

After her primetime series "Beauty Queen", actress Iza Calzado will be the new member of the “Dabarkads” that will delight your afternoon habits.

She is now looking forward in polishing her hosting skills as she will now co-host the long-running noontime show, “Eat Bulaga.”

GMA Network's Happy Kapuso Month this February

"Dahil ang maGMAmahal, natural sa Kapuso..."

This is the reason behind GMA Network, Inc.'s efforts this February as the Network celebrates Kapuso Month with love-filled offerings to warm viewers' hearts.

To kick-off Kapuso Month, GMA brings the tandem of Regine Velasquez and Dingdong Dantes to prime time television via the romantic comedy, I Heart You Pare. This much-anticipated series--set in the colorful world of Club Love, where drag queens rule-premieres February 7 on GMA Telebabad.

On Dramarama sa Hapon, Kapuso fans can expect new programs that will be sure to tug on their heartstrings: Nita Negrita, with Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio; Sisid with Jackie Rice and Dominic Roco; and Magic Palayok with Geoff Eigenmann, Carla Abellana, Nadine Samonte , Angeli Nicole Sanoy and Ms. Cherie Gil.

Come February 9, GMA Films and Regal Entertainment's My Valentine Girls hits cinemas. The romantic trilogy partners Kapuso hunk Richard Gutierrez with some of today's most sought-after leading ladies - Rhian Ramos, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, and Eugene Domingo. Child wonder Jillian Ward also makes her movie debut in the film.

Then on February 13, catch international singing sensation Charice Pempengco in her GMA special, Charice: Home for Valentine's .

Throughout February, fans can be sure to catch other Kapuso Month festivities as GMA programs toast this special time with viewers.

In the regions, it's double the fun as Kapuso stars bring the Kapuso Month celebrations to the Bacolodiat Festival in Bacolod City on February 4, the Paraw Regatta in Iloilo City on February 18-19, and the Panagbenga Flower Festival in Baguio City on February 27.

On iGMA.tv and Facebook, fans can participate in the Kapuso Month activities via discussions and quizzes on matters of the heart.

Meanwhile, fans can receive Valentine's messages from the favorite Kapuso stars via the celebrity mobile service Fanatxt. Charice upcoming GMA-7 TV special "Charice: Home for Valentines"

International singing sensation Charice returns home to the Philippines to finish her commitment to do a Valentine TV special for GMA-7.

Charice is supposed to shoot a Christmas special last year entitled "Charice: Home for Christmas" but due to unfortunate health circumstances, the Christmas musical special is postponed.

Joining her in this GMA-7 special are Ogie Alcasid, Rachelle Ann Go, Michael V and Elmo Magalona.

February 13 is the said airing date of "Charice: Home for Valentines".

Jackie Rice gets the lead role for GMA's ‘Sisid’

2010 is a big turn around for sexy young actress Jackie Rice as she straighten her ways for her career and this year 2011, expect more career challenges from her.

GMA-7 is tapping the services of Jackie Rice to lead the upcoming afternoon teleserye titled “Sisid” opposite JC Tiuseco, Ian Batherson, and Dominic Roco. It will replace Kris Bernal‘s “Koreana” (last episode airing Feb 25.

Some of her previous projects are Ilumina, Dear Friend Presents: Tisay, Panday Kids and Darna.

Party Pilipinas presents Sankapa!

Prepare for another party this Sunday as the Kapuso stars will perform new exciting productions at Party Pilipinas' Sankapa?! episode.

Pumping up the show with their opening number are Regine Velasquez, Jaya, Rachelle Ann Go, Frencheska Farr, Kyla, La Diva, Mark Bautista, Kris Lawrence, and XLR8.

Dance showdown using the hit music from five-time Grammy winner Janet Jackson in Sayaw Pilipinas segment with Iza Calzado, Heart Evangelista, Mark Herras, Carla Abellana, Bianca King, Rochelle Pangilinan, Aira Bermudez, and Geneva Cruz.

Next is a hiphop number from Mike Swift and Elmo Magalona together with Jay Perillo, Marc, and Janno Gibbs.

Special celebration for birthday girl Glaiza De Castro and she will be on stage in "Kuwento Ko Sayaw Ko".

Special performance from Raymond Gutierrez with Andi 9, KC Montero, Geoff Eigenmann, and Tim Yap.

Sankapa?! episode is directed by Rico Gutierrez.

Louise delos Reyes as Adana in "Alakdana" - Promo Photos

With this opportunity, the 17 year-old actress must give up her role in the youth-oriented show “Tween Hearts”.

In Alakdana, Louise plays the role of Adana, "a girl born with an extremely rare feature on her body: a scorpion tail. Despite her dark secret, Adana seeks to have a normal life but whenever danger threatens, her tail is ready to strike and stun its enemies."

Supporting her in this series is her leading men Paulo Avelin, Ritchie Paul Gutierrez and Alden Richards.

Alakdana is directed by Mac Alejandre and will shown on GMA 7’s Dramarama sa Hapon after Eat Bulaga.
