Jackie Rice gets the lead role for GMA's ‘Sisid’

2010 is a big turn around for sexy young actress Jackie Rice as she straighten her ways for her career and this year 2011, expect more career challenges from her.

GMA-7 is tapping the services of Jackie Rice to lead the upcoming afternoon teleserye titled “Sisid” opposite JC Tiuseco, Ian Batherson, and Dominic Roco. It will replace Kris Bernal‘s “Koreana” (last episode airing Feb 25.

Some of her previous projects are Ilumina, Dear Friend Presents: Tisay, Panday Kids and Darna.

GMA-7 actress Jackie Rice brings her beauty and charm in the Indonesian edition of  FHM Magazine for the November 2010 issue.

The Fil-Am actress is currently one of the lead star in the fantasy series "Ilumina" along with Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica .

Checkout the teaser trailers and cast photos of GMA's upcoming fantasy series “Illumina” starring the first screen team up of the lovely Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica. The new series will also parade two veteran award winning actor Christopher de Leon and Cesar Montano (first project in GMA after his transfer).

Illumina's story is about twin sister who goes opposite ways and they use their witchcraft and charm to ruin each other.

Other cast includes Jackie Rice, Jean Garcia, Ara Mina, Paulo Avelino, Bea Binene, Jhake Vargas, Arci Munoz, Andre Endique and Lexi Fernandez.

This new fantaserye is directed by Mark Reyes and will hit primetime on August 2, 2010.

Jackie Rice is enticingly hot in FHM Philippines January 2010

GMA's pretty face Jackie Rice is smoking hot as she flaunt her svelte body on the cover of FHM Philippines magazine January 2010 issue.

The 19 year-old actress was proclaimed Ultimate Female Survivor in the reality-artista search Starstruck Season 3.

Her popularity and career went under the radar after the reported off-cam attitude problems and being linked to Biboy Ramirez. She has been suspended several times by her mother network.
Since last year, the lovely Jackie Rice is making a big step forward as she transition herself to be more visible on screen and accepting more mature roles. She also posed for Maxim's July 2009 issue.

She is currently cast in the hit primetime series "Darna", playing the role of Helga (Ang Babaing Demonyita).

In 2010, she is set to do "Panday Kids" and "Encantandia: The Second Saga" (reportedly, "Danaya" role -originally done by Diana Zubiri).

Marian Rivera "Darna" Book 2 - new Villains

Philippines' original Pinay superhero "Darna" played by Marian Rivera is still flying high in primetime and she had fought and defeated nasty characters like Babaeng Impakta (Nadine Samonte), Babaeng Tuod (Francine Prieto), Babaeng Lawin (Ehra Madrigal) and Babaeng Linta (Margaret "Maggie" Wilson).

Now entering it's new season (book 2), new set of villains and twist are expected to unveil.

Darna's new enemis are Serpina, Babaeng Manananggal, Babaeng Demonyita, Vladimir (the Vampire), and Electra. [Role description and Video below.....]

Serpina, played by two-time FHM sexiest woman Katrina Halili, daughter of Kobra and Babaeng Impakta. She will fulfill her father's wish--ang padamihin ang kanilang lahi. Just like her half-sister, Serpina will also fall for Darna's first love Eduardo (Mark Anthony Fernnadez). Gagawin niya ang lahat para makuha ang pagmamahal ni Eduardo at sisiguraduhin niyang mawawala si Narda, ang alter-ego ni Darna.

Sexbomb Rochelle Pangilinan will play the role of Babaeng Manananggal. Magpapanggap siya as Dra. Deborrah para madali niyang makita at mapili ang kanyang mga biktima. She then transforms into an ugly winged monster at night to wreak havoc sa bayan ng San Martin. Si Deborrah din ang may hawak ng sikreto sa nakaraan ni Ding, ang kaibigan ni Darna na siyang tanging nakakaalam ng tunay na identity ng ating superhero.

Isa namang matipunong dayuhan ang mapapadpad sa bayan ng San Martin. His name is Vladimir, played by Celebrity Duets 3 finalist Akihiro Sato. Behind his godlike features is a wicked and vicious vampire na walang awang papatay ng mga inosenteng tao.

StarStruck Batch 3 Ultimate Survivor Jackie Rice, on the other hand, plays the character of Helga, isang babaneg may mala-anghel na mukha. Unfortunately, she will be possessed by a powerful evil spirit with extreme wrath and fury na magpapabago sa kanya bilang Babaeng Demonyita.

And last but not the least, Darna will face her most powerful nemesis--si Electra, the Queen of Planet Woman. Portrayed by no less than the Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez, si Electra ay isang reyna from a different planet na may incredible strength and power na gagamitin niya para sakupin ang mundo.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes' "Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang" - teaser trailer

Teaming up once more for the third time are GMA's top artists Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera and director Joyce Bernal for the tv adaptation of a Carlo J Caparas original drama/thriller graphic novel "Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang" (The Woman Pulled from My Rib).

This 1981 classic was originally topbilled by Vivian Velez and Eddie Rodriguez.

"It tells the story of Homer (Dingdong Dantes), a psychologist with a boring life, and his patient Proserfina (Marian Rivera) - a man hater and a serial killer who murdered many she had relationship with. The two will also develop feelings for one another. But will Prosefina's new found love heal her hatred with men?"

Other cast includes Angelu de Leon, Paolo Contis, Eugene Domingo, Francine Prieto, Lovi Poe, Prince Stefan, Carlene Aguilar, Mart Escudero, Carmi Martin, and Jackie Rice.

Ready to thrill you this February 2009 in GMA primetime series.
