Regal Films' "White House" - Poster

Regal Films has released the official poster for the upcoming suspense-thriller flick titled "White House". [Full poster below]

Cast includes Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado, Maricar Reyes, Lovi Poe, Megan Young, Mo Twister, Joem Bascon, Sarah Lahbati, and Janus del Prado.

Directed by Quija's Topel Lee and it will hit the theaters on October 13, 2010.

MMFF 2009: “I Love You, Goodbye” latest trailer

Star Cinema's entry for the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the romantic drama flick “I Love You, Goodbye” starring Angelica Panganiban, Derek Ramsay, Kim Chiu and veteran actor Gabby Concepcion.

It is about Adrian (Gabby) and his relationship with Liezl (Angelica). However, Liezl is still confused because her past lover Gary (Derek Ramsay) comes back to win her back. Complicating matters even further is the fact that Adrian's daughter (played by Kim Chiu) is also attracted to Gary.

Directed by Laurice Guillen and it will hit the theaters on December 25.

Lucida DS Glutathione management is filing a libel lawsuit against Korina Sanchez

The exclusive and explosive report of ABS-CBN newscaster Korina Sanchez about glutathione products that uses less than the claimed content posted on its bottle is creating media tension to different personalities.

The affected company on the said controversy is United Shelter Health Products who sells Lucida DS Glutathione and Vaniderm.

On the said report, the glutathione content on the bottle label of Lucinda DS indicates 500 mg but the test conducted by Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry (PIPAC) reveals that it only contains 4.4 mg. The discrepancy is to high.

Also in that report only MET Tathione product passed the test.

Senior Vice President Ms. Maribel Galindez and their business partners will be filing a libel suit against Korina Sanchez in different parts of the Philippines.

PEP reports that it will be filed in Polomolok, Davao, Iloilo, General Santos City, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Iligan, Koronadal and Zamboanga.

Distributors in Malaysia, Dubai and U.S. is also thinking on filing a case.

Newly signed Gabby Concepcion and Sen. Loren Legarda is the product endorser of Lucida DS Glutathione. For Vaniderm, Toni Gonzaga and Maui Taylor.

Simple but strong words from MET Tathione's camp against Gabby Concepcion

Veteran Filipino actor Gabby Concepcion is very busy with his career and court cases left and right.

It seems Gabby's recent problem with Jobert Sucaldito about the whitening product failed endorsement (MET Tathione) will not end there.

MET Tathione manager said in an interview with PEP that they can give the P5 million endorsement fee that Gabby's camp is asking but they feel he's not worth it and spending that kind of money to him is not a good idea. MET Tathione manager also added that they rather to invest and spend it to a younger artist.

Gabby Concepcion signed a deal with Lucida DS worth P5 million. Lucida DS is a direct competitor of MET Tathione.

In a related note, It also seems that MET Tathione won the quality recognition of their product against Lucida DS. In a report by Korina Sanchez on TV Patrol, she revealed that the actual glutathione content of most of the local whitening products in the market is way less than the claimed content posted on its bottle. MET Tathione products are qualified and they passed the test conducted by Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry (PIPAC). In the said news Lucida DS and some other products in the market failed to pass the test and they discover small amount of Glutathione content on their product.

Meanwhile, Richard Gutierrez has signed a endorsement deal with MET Tathione and their will be another female artist scheduled to sign a deal with MET management.

Gabby Concepcion's court cases and his counter lawsuit against Jobert Sucaldito

Gabby Concepcion's return to the Philippines earns not just a bountiful of projects and endorsement but he also earned a handful of court cases.

The former matinee idol is battling some court cases like falsification of public documents, Bigamy case and latest is the case filed by Jobert Sucaldito.

Entertainment columnist and radio personality Jobert Sucaldito filed a P2.8 million lawsuit against Gabby about the failed verbal agreement between them. The said agreement is worth P2.5 million and it is set to be sign but suddenly Gabby's camp signed a endorsement deal to a another company (direct competitor of the brand).

UPDATE: Gabby and his Manager fires back and will file a P10 million libel and defamation suit against entertainment columnist Jobert Sucaldito.

The lawyer of Gabby Concepcion said he will file a libel and defamation case against Sucaldito, whom he claims described Concepcion and his wife as "mukhang pera (greedy for money)".

Meanwhile, Gabby's first comeback role on TV will be on the drama special "Maala-ala Mo Kaya" hosted by Charo Santos-Concio. The episode airs Friday night (Tonight) at 10 pm.

GMA Films Principles and official statement in Gabby's offer to returned the down payment

As previously reported, Gabby Concepcion's returned to the Philippines created to much buzz, intrigues and controversy especially when he back out from a project in GMA Films and he signed a contract to ABS-CBN.

Last year, Gabby has signed a contract for his showbiz comeback with GMA Films and received a down payment but due to some behind the back negotiations GMA was left wondering around.

Gabby is offering to returned the initial down payment he received but GMA Films still undecided because of principles.

GMA Films is right, a contract is a contract. He must honor it. Her decision making remains bad even after 13 years. As many know he also decided to get involved in the 1994 Metro Manila Film Festival scam with Lolit Solis.

GMA Films official statement in Gabby's offer to returned the down payment:

"It is not about Gabby. It is not about money. It's about the principle that people in showbiz should learn how to honor their commitments.

"Gabby has a live contract with us. He has been consulted in every step of the production. We expect him to honor his commitment and we will enforce that he has signed with us."

Gabby Concepcion want to return P1.75-million to GMA

GMA officials again reminded or many described it as a mild ultimatum to Gabby Concepcion about his contract obligations to GMA Films.

GMA Films' lawyers earlier sent a letter to the actor notifying him of his existing contract. Reportedly, GMA producers gave a initial payment worth P1.75-million for his comeback movie.

In a change of event, Gabby also signed a two year contract with kapuso rival network, ABS-CBN. Now, Gabby and his manager decided to just return the P1.75-million downpayment with interest.

Meanwhile, GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar replied that it’s up to them to accept the terms of Gabby’s camp.

Annette said, “It was already a contract. It was partially executed and they cannot just finish a contract with that".

“Hindi pwedeng solian lang ng kandila. Pagdating sa ganyan (We can’t just break ties just like that. When it comes to a contract) we should respect it," she added.

Yesterday Gabby went to the Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) in Manila and posted bail for his unsettled case involving falsification of public documents.

Accompanied by his Lawyer Eduardo "Ed" Flaminiano and movie producer Rose Flaminiano, Gabby appeared to Judge Marlo Malagar of the MTC Branch 5 and posted a P6,000 bail in relation to a standing warrant of arrest issued for this unsettled case.

According to GMAnews, The details of the case are confidential but Rumors that his previous marriage with Grace Ibuna, Jenny Syquia and two other more are involved in this pending case.

Reports that the case has no connection with his previous involvement 13 years ago about the scam (rigging of results) he made with Lolit Solis and others in the 1994 Metro Manila Film Festival that cause him to decide to leave the Philippines and migrated (some people described as exile) to the U.S.

According to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), in a text message to them Gabby will make a interview with Boy Abunda and will appear in ABS-CBN's The Buzz.

There is previous report that theirs a talk of his comeback in movies with GMA Films with Jolina Magdangal but suddenly Gabby has decided to back out from the film a few weeks before the shooting starts.

Gabby will make his first appearance in ABS-CBN, is this mean theirs an under the table negotiations that happened to them? I'm sure GMA officials are now scratching their head right now.
