Nicollette Sheridan Drops Abuse Claims in $20 million Lawsuit

Nicollette Sheridan decided to drop her major claims in her $20 million lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. The 47 year-old actress will no longer used the physical and emotional abuse claims on her case.

In exchange in dropping the abuse allegations, Sheridan won't have to submit to a mental or physical examination requested by the defense. Both parties agreed with this stipulation and it was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (December 17).

Downgrading her case, Sheridan still has the right to pursue lost wages, benefits and other financial compensation.

It seems  Marc Cherry's camp made a great move forcing Sheridan to change her mind.

"Edie was fantastic for the show and I do not have a negative word to say about her,” he says of Nicolette. “Her character was actually not supposed to have as long a run in the show but she was so good in the pilot I had to keep her in. Part of my job is knowing when the end has come for any character and it was just Edie’s time. There is no animosity and there was no falling out.”

Wisteria Lane will be saying goodbye to the relationship hungry character of Edie Brit as Nicollette Sheridan is leaving "Desperate Housewives".

According to Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry that Sheridan's character would be crossing a moral boundary that "will have have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane."

Sheridan rep. confirmed to People, “She had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project. Her final episode doesn’t air until April.”

Still baba..boom!! and just turned 45 last friday, Nicollette Sheridan celebrated her birthday at Luau restaurant in Beverly Hills. After her split up with Michael Bolton, their a new rumored some one for Nicollette.

According to People, comedian David Spade is the lucky guy that catches Nicollette attention.

"They arrived separately and even started dinner at different booths," says an onlooker. It was a familiar scene: The duo were spotted a couple of weeks ago at the restaurant's opening, where they spent the night in deep conversation. This time, though, things got a little more intimate.

"They cuddled and kissed," says an onlooker. "They were full-on making out in a booth."

Nicollette is now available after breaking off a two-year relationship with Michael Bolton last August.
