Simon Cowell is leaving "American Idol"; Paula Abdul and Simon for X Factor

It was announced last year that "Mr. Nasty" Simon Cowell is leaving "American Idol" after season nine and that news is now officially confirmed!! Simon is eying to pursue the American version of X Factor and he reportedly tapping the services of former AI judge Paula Abdul to join him. Paula allegedly inked $4.5 million contract.

National Enquirer’s Mike Walker: “Simon flew Paula to London and wined and dined her relentlessly over the course of several days, even introducing her to everyone who works on X Factor. But what really clinched the deal was Simon’s pledge that she wouldn’t have to deal with all the nonsense and infighting that she hated on Idol.”

Simon will be the judge and executive producer on FOX's upcoming American version of "The X Factor" and it will premiere in fall 2011.

Simon Cowell is feeling the absence of his seat mate Paula Abdul in American Idol panel as he shared that it's different without her.

After leaving American Idol, Paula Abdul is eying to have her own talk show and she also tells TV Guide her feelings about her "Idol" departure.

Paula on having her own talk show and the kind of format she will offer: "Absolutely. I definitely want to do a talk show because it would be different. Well, since there is talk about me possibly doing one I don't want to give the goodies away. I'd be Paula. It would be a lot of fun variety with a ton of unexpected stuff and tributes to everyday people getting their big chance."

No regrets about leaving American Idol? : "You know, to say 'no regrets' isn't easy. I feel like I have been such a big, huge part of the success of the show from day one. I loved being able to be the artist's artist; being there from my point of view of knowing what it feels like to be vulnerable and to be out there wanting to achieve the most magical moment in a minute and thirty seconds. To be able to do that was an amazing experience and the show was wonderful for me in that regard."

Meanwhile, Paula Abdul will host this year's "Vh1 Divas" on Sept 17th and she recently finished two episodes of Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.

“Ugly Betty” hires Kristen Johnston than Paula Abdul due to "Private Jet" demand

It seems Paula Abdul lavish demands will put her on the bench for a while. The former American Idol judge failed to closed another deal with her reported demands like a "Private Jet".

PETA supporter and "3rd Rock from the Sun” star Kristen Johnston was tapped to replace Abdul in the now-recurring role of Helen, newest office temp and Amanda’s elder doppelganger in the TV show “Ugly Betty”.

I hope Paula will try to cut some of her demands in her future deals or else.

Paula Abdul allegedly wants to be back in the "Idol" seat

Apparently Paula Abdul is now having regrets on her sudden decision to leave American Idol and allegedly she wants to back in.
According to TMZ, "Sources connected to Paula Abdul say Miss Paula wants back on "American Idol."

Our sources say Paula's Twitter is retracted -- at least in her mind - if the price is right. As we first reported, the magic number is $10 million. Will Paula move from that number? The way negotiations go in Hollywood ... probably, but we don't know for sure and if so how much she's willing to give."
It seems negotiations for the others shows doesn't go well for Paula.

“The way I’m understanding, it was her choice to leave,” Kara told Ryan. “How could you ever replace [her]? She’s an incredible talent. She is somebody who helped to make the show as big as it is. And how could you ever replace that?”
FOX denies speculations that that hiring Kara is their "insurance policy" if Abdul will leave the show.

Paula reportedly declined the 30 percent raise and an eight-figure, multi-year deal that the AI management offered.

Paula Abdul want $20 Million to continue on Idol

It seems Paula Abdul felt that the American Idol management doesn't value her contribution for the talent show's success. After Ryan Seacrest had signed a lucrative deal (three-year $45 million), and Simon Cowell is reportedly will be signing $100 million deal, Paula thinks a "substantial raise" is fair enough.

Paula who is reportedly earning between $2 and $3 million a year in her previous season was offered by the AI producers a 30 percent raise and an eight-figure, multi-year deal.

Feeling unappreciated, According to the Hollywood Reporter, Abdul asked for about $20 million to continue with the show.

She tweeted, "With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all..

I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.

What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me

It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month

I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all"
Paula Abdul failed to close a better deal with AI management and it seems her threat of having a new show that will compete with American Idol has no effect.

Jennifer Lopez denies replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol

The fate of Paula Abdul on American Idol is still in a limbo but suddenly a rumored name emerges that will replace her, it's Jennifer Lopez.

Do you remember what Simon Cowell said recently, "I don't get a lot of say. I've just made it clear that I want Paula on the show."

Simon Cowell: "I want Paula on the show."

If manager David Sonenberg felt that his client Paula Abdul likely won't be coming back on American Idol next season, it seems Paula's fellow judge Simon Cowell is not worried and he just gave a simple but strong hint to the AI producers.

Simon tells Extra, "She'll be fine. She'll be on the show. I don't get a lot of say. I've just made it clear that I want Paula on the show."

Simple encouragement but sweet....

Paula Abdul is unhappy, may not return to American Idol

If seems that the American Idol group shows more effort in signing up Ryan Seacrest to returned than AI judge Paula Abdul.

Her manager expresses that "Idol" producers are not stepping up and there's still no contract proposal coming from them (FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment). Abdul is very unhappy!!
Paula's manager, David Sonenberg told LA times, "Very sadly, it does not appear that she's going to be back on 'Idol'. I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful. I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven't stepped up and said what they want to do."

"She's not a happy camper as a result of what's going on. She's hurt. She's angry. I think at this point we're going to be considering everything, including some kind of a competition show. She has tremendous ideas for a whole variety of shows."
Ryan Seacrest signed a three-year deal worth $45 million and Randy Jackson still on contract until 2011. Their still negotiating for Simon Cowell's return and for Kara DioGuardi, likewise.

If the deal doesn't push through, many will surely miss Paula Abdul, No more zany-crazy judging comment.

The new season is scheduled to premiere in January.

In spite of feud report with Kara, Paula Abdul says, “Well, I started her success. And I’m proud of it. Happy of it. I moved a stranger from New York, told her to give 2 week’s notice to Billboard magazine, and moved a stranger into my home in LA. I actually think that Simon got mad that we are friends and that I actually knew her and that her humble beginning began sleeping in my guest bedroom and I just believed in her.”

Speculations that new judge Kara DioGuardi was hired to be replace her, Paula Abdul says, “I don’t think anyone [can replace me]. First of all Kara says, ‘I could never replace you.’ Whenever there is change it’s not about replacing anybody, it’s about possibly moving on."

Staying in the show, Paula Abdul says, I love the show, I do. I love what I do on the show and I’m loving it more this season than ever. It’s taken me a while to get comfortable in my own skin with the show.”
