Kristine Hermosa joins "Noah"

Actress Kristine Hermosa will charm your night as she joins ABS-CBN fantaserye “Noah”.

Kristine plays the role of Eva, a beautiful pixie who guarded the the island and her relationship with Gabriel (Piolo Pascual) blooms as the story progresses.

Piolo Pascual will play Sen. Ninoy Aquino in "Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)"

Before the supposed plans for a Ninoy or Cory Aquino film bio, ABS-CBN's top leading man Piolo Pascual will be portraying the slain former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. in an upcoming episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)” which will be shown next year.

The other cast are not yet revealed but this MMK episode will be directed by Jeffrey Jeturian.

Star Cinema will distribute Piolo Pacual's "Manila"

ABS-CBN's movie outfit Star Cinema has pick up Piolo Pacual's indie film "Manila" to be released on July 22, 2009 at Philippine cinemas nationwide.

Piolo who starred in this 2-part film also served as the executive producer. Divided into a “Day” and “Night” episode directed by Raya Martin and Adolfo Alix, Jr., respectively.

This black-and-white film are inspired by Ishmael Bernal’s 1980 film Manila by Night and Lino Brocka’s 1979 film Jaguar.

Manila was first exhibited at the 61st Cannes Film Festival and the 31st Moscow International Film Festival and it is scheduled to be screened in other international film festivals.

For the Day segment, Piolo Pascual portrays William, a drug addict who tries to rebuild his sense of self and reconnect with the people around him. Piolo's character is named William in honor of William Martinez who played the lead role in Manila By Night.

For the Night segment, Piolo portrays Philip, a bodyguard for a mayor's son who mistakenly believes that his boss considers him as part of the family. Piolo's character is named Philip in honor of Phillip Salvador who played the lead role in Jaguar.

Cast includes Rosanna Roces, Jay Manalo, Alessandra de Rossi, Baron Geisler, Iza Calzado, Angelica Panganiban, Jiro Manio, William Martinez, Anita Linda, Marissa Delgado, Menggie Cobarrubias, John Lapus, Katherine Luna, Aleck Bovick and Jon Avila.

Piolo Pascual admits that he is courting actress KC Concepcion but many doubting

ABS-CBN actor Piolo Pascual admits that he is courting actress KC Concepcion but the timing are being doubted by many due to their upcoming television series “Lovers in Paris (remake).”

Don't get me wrong, I respect Piolo Pascual and KC as an artist but using this old trick in the book of publicity is a big No No!

But if indeed he is courting KC, it will be a good chemistry on and off screen.

After it's initial US screening, Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual's romantic film "Love Me Again (Land Down Under)" has releases new international screening dates.

As star Cinema describe the story, "This is the story of a woman who goes to the Land Down Under for the sake of her family and her dreams, and the man who would go to the ends of the earth to follow her."

KC Concepcion is Piolo Pascual's next leading lady, "Lovers in Paris" Phil. remake

After teaming up with Angel Locsin this year, Piolo Pascual will soar high with another promising leading lady for 2009. This time the lovely young actress KC Concepcion will headline ABS-CBN's primetime.

Piolo Pascual will do a movie with KC and reportedly on January they will start shooting the Philippine version of the hit Koreanovela “Lovers in Paris".

Lovers in Paris is a successful Korean drama series broadcast by SBS who become also a ABS-CBN hit in the Philippines. Originally done by Park Shin-yang (Money War) and Kim Jung-eun (Princess Lulu).

Piolo said, "Hopefully a movie before ipalabas iyong soap, but of course sa January ipapalabas muna ang movie namin ni Angel (Locsin) and come February or March naman ay ipapalabas iyong independent movie ko na ‘Manila’”.

This serve as the culmination of Star Cinema's 15th year anniversary celebration. The movie is directed by Rory Quintos.

Schedule to hit the theaters in January 2009. Piolo and Angel will grace the screenings scheduled in Los Angeles on December 6 and in San Francisco Bay Area (Redwood City) on December 7.

The story is about Arah (Angel Locsin) and Migo (Piolo Pascual). Migo returns to Bukidnon’s lush pasture lands and magnificent rolling hills after working in Manila for years. He is reclaiming the ranch that his family had lost after his father’s death.

At the famous Kaamulan festival of the province, Migo chances upon his first love, Arah, the beautiful and fearless rodeo queen of Bukidnon. He falls in love with her again and resolves to win back her heart.

But Arah is already engaged to an Australian rancher. Being the eldest daughter of a poor cowboy, she feels compelled to accept the foreigner’s offer of marriage in order to give her family a better life, no matter how much she still loves Migo.

Arah leaves for a vast and lonely Australian ranch with a group of other Filipino cowboys who have been hired to work there.

Will Migo be able to reclaim the love he has lost or will he learn to let Arah go and start anew? How far will Migo be willing to go for love?

Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby withdraw their case against Lolit Solis.

Talent manager, host and columnist Lolit Solis can now relax and return to her usual ways after Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby withdraw their libel case against her.

The three come in terms when Lolit decided to signed a retraction at the Manila Regional Trial court and formally apologized to the actors, Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby.

The case started when Lolit wrote a malicious news in her column about the two ABS-CBN actors. As a result the two actors send a initial demand letter to her and then they filed a P12-million libel suit against Lolit Solis.

Philippine TV Ratings (January 25-28 '08) Three ABS-CBN shows debut

Last night three ABS-CBN shows premiere in primetime. Kung Fu Kids, Lobo, and Palos enters the primetime TV ratings ranking but still five(5) GMA Telebabad shows holds the top 5 spot of the top 10 TV primetime ratings.

Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual's drama series "Lobo" got the highest overall among ABS-CBN programs last night with 27.7 percent and good for no.6 spot.

Coffee Prince is in a see-saw battle with Kamandag, playing with no.2 or no.3 spot in TV rankings.

GMA-7's game show, Whammy! Push Your Luck posted 15.5 percent and good for the fifth spot in daytime programming. It is also their final episode.

This is based on overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households.

Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin's "LOBO" video Teaser

The highly-anticipated new series from ABS-CBN called “Lobo” which marks Angel Locsin’s very first major project and teleserye since she transferred to the kapamilya network.

Her first partner is ABS-CBN’s top heartthrob and controversial Piolo Pascual.

Many are saying "Lobo" can be considered as ABS-CBN’s most ambitious project to date.

The new soap will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and Direk Rory Quintos.

“It’s coming very soon. Viewers will not be disappointed, because the whole cast and crew is making sure that this teleserye will be unforgettable,” Locsin said.

Lolit Solis Fires back against Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby

The flaming talent manager, columnist and TV host Lolit Solis gave a response against the P12M suit filed by actor Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby.

Yesterday at Startalk (Entertainment talk show), Lolit declared a court war between her and Piolo's group. The P12M libel case is about the column written by Lolit in Pilipino Star Ngayon that insinuate the two actors are gay.



Lolit Solis challenged Piolo that she acquired a video that will prove that he is in Sofitel. Piolo contradict that statement that he is busy with a photoshoot with Timex at that moment.

Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby filed P12-million libel case against Lolit Solis

The lawyer of Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby sent a demand letter to Talent manager/writer Lolit Solis last week. They demand a retraction from Lolit that she have written in her column and a public apology. The feisty talent manager reiterated her stand that she is ready for any court case filed against her.

Yesterday morning, Actors Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby personally filed a P12-million libel case against talk show host Lolit Solis in connection with an article in her tabloid column alleging that she saw the two actors in a romantic situation.

In their complaint, Pascual and Milby alleged that Solis's October 15 article was "malicious, wanton and illegal," that they suffered mental anguish, serious anxiety, sleepless nights, besmirched reputation, wounded feelings and social humiliation.

Piolo's group added entertainment editor Verinica Samio of the tabloid Pilipino Star Ngayon in their complaint.

Piolo's group also said the column leaves no doubts in the minds of the readers that she intended us to be perceived as gay men.

Demand Letter of Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby to Lolit Solis

A demand letter was sent to Talent Manager/TV host Lolit Solis by Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual's Lawyer. The letter state that Solis must withdraw her statement and issue a public apology.

Sam Milby's anger is due to Lolit Solis Column in Pilipino Star Ngayon, a tabloid in the Philippines. The column came out last October 15, with the front-page headline, "Sam and Piolo, naglalampungan."

Ms Solis,

We are writing in behalf of our clients, Mssrs Samuel Lloyd Milby and Piolo Jose N. Pascual.

Our clients referred to us the matter of libelous material, which you wrote in your 15 October 2007 column at Pilipino Star Ngayon. Other articles referring to the same subject matter were subsequently published in other tabloids

In your article, you narrated that you saw our clients together at a Sofitel Hotel coffee shop, the previous Friday, 12 October 2007, at around 4:00 pm, their manner towards each other, unexpected from two gentlemen. Your article has left in doubt in the minds of the readers that you intended our clients to be perceived as gay men.

Unfortunately, our clients were not in Sofitel on 12 October 2007. They were not even together on the said date. Hence, your story was without any factual basis, and clearly a falsehood.

Besides being a complete lie, your narrative contained words and phrases that were indisputably defamatory, for they impute upon our clients a condition which is sufficient to impeach their reputation as matinee idols and hold them to public ridicule. Your article has undoubtedly shown your objective of maligning and injuring the reputation of our clients.

On view of the foregoing, we hereby demand a retraction of your malicious article, as well as a public apology. After having maliciously maligned our clients, it is only appropriate that you dispel the negative impression created by your libelous article. Should you not do so within ten (10) days from your receipt of this letter, we shall be constrained to take whatever legal action is appropriate and necessary to protect the interest of our clients.

Our clients still hope that the above matter would be settled without resort to court action. We appeal to your common decency, and hope that you will correct what you have done and refrain from further inflicting injury to our clients.

We trust that this matter merits your preferential attention.
