Sunshine Dizon plays a Widow in Claudine Barretto's drama series

Expect A-class acting skills performance from Claudine Barretto and award winning versatile actress Sunshine Dizon, who plays a widow in the upcoming episode of GMA-7's drama anthology "Claudine".

In the episode titled "Love Thy Neighbor," she takes on the role of Melba, a poor woman who loses her husband to a freak accident. Melba crosses paths with Janet (played by Claudine Barretto), a woman whose fate runs somehow parallel with hers.

As they struggle to cope with the pains and losses in their lives, still the question of whose fault the accident is remains. Will they be able to recover from the tragedy that struck both their lives? Does time really heal all wounds?

Other cast icludes Polo Ravales, Yul Servo, Biboy Ramirez and Raquel Montesa.

Claudine's "Love Thy Neighbor" episode is directed by Argel Joseph and airing this Saturday, July 31.

Sunshine Dizon was pulled out fom her drama series “Tinik sa Dibdib”

Actress Sunshine Dizon was pulled out from her afternoon soap “Tinik sa Dibdib” and it was confirmed by GMA Network.

Here's GMA-7's statement:

"GMA Network would like to inform the public that it has pulled out Ms. Sunshine Dizon from her current afternoon drama program, Sine Novela presents Tinik sa Dibdib, due to health reasons.

It was decided that Ms. Dizon’s condition would make it impossible for her to perform as an actress. GMA Network advised Ms. Dizon to rest in order to fully recover."

Rumors are now filing up about the said "health reasons", allegedly Sunshine is depressed after her breakup with her boyfriend (Tanya Garcia’s brother) and got overdosed with sleeping pills. Another rumor is, she is currently pregnant.

Reportedly, she is vacationing in the US. She will be replace by another great young actress Nadine Samonte.

GMA actress Sunshine Dizon wll enter politics in 2010?

Why do many artist want to be politician? And politician want to be artist?

Last holiday season, GMA actress Sunshine Dizon celebrated the occasion with her kababayan in her hometown in Iloilo. Many are now saying that it is a start in testing the pulse of her future constituents.

In GMA's "Showbiz Central" segment "Gimme Mo!", host DJ Mo Twister ask Sunshine if she has plans in entering government service in 2010.

She said, "It's really one of my dreams. If ever, actually, I would go into politics, syempre uunahin ko muna yung mga kababayan ko".
