Court granted James Yap visitation rights but not allowed to take son to Negros

Estranged couple James Yap and TV host Kris Aquino reached an agreement at the Makati Regional Trial Court over visitation rights by Yap regarding to their son, James Yap, Jr.

Judge Cristina Javellana-Sulit granted James Yap three times a week visitation rights (including one overnight) but he is not allowed to bring Baby James to his hometown in Escalante, Negros Occidental.

Court details via ABS-CBN: "Yap was allowed to spend Wednesdays, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Baby James. They can watch basketball and eat out within Metro Manila and accompanied by 2 nannies and 2 security guards. Yap was also allowed to be with Baby James from Friday 4 p.m. to Saturday 2 p.m."

With the visitation issue in now over, the PBA star can now concentrate with Kris' petition for the declaration of nullity of marriage citing “lack of authority of the solemnizing officer.”  The couple got married in civil rites on July 10, 2005.

A sweet-bitter moment for PBA star James Yap as he received his second Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Wednesday (August 11) at the Araneta Coliseum and reportedly, the celebration was almost spoiled after an attempt by court officials to serve him papers for the nullification of his marriage to TV host/actress Kris Aquino.

But with Yap's early exit leaving Araneta Coliseum, court officials failed to served the legal papers.

Kris filed her petition for the declaration of nullity of marriage at the Makati RTC last Monday, August 9.

Kris Aquino answers "No!" if James has a place in her heart

TV host/actress/Presidential sister Kris Aquino just came from her three-weeks vacation with her kids and it seems her decision is really final in ending her marriage to James Yap.

Kris was asked by a reporter if her soon-to-be-ex husband still has a place in her heart, Kris answered quickly with an exclamation point, “No!" and added "He can always be the father and I would really hope and pray na he will take an active participation sa pagpapalaki ng anak namin.”

Kris's lawyers are now preparing the petition for the declaration of nullity of marriage or the annulment of marriage. They think the marriage was void from the beginning.

Meanwhile, Kris will host the new ABS-CBN noontime show "Pilipinas Win Na Win".

James Yap want to save the marriage; Full statement released

After TV host/actress Kris Aquino opens up and revealed that she's given up in saving her marriage, Kris' husband/PBA star James Yap breaks his silence announcing that he will do everything to win again the heart of his wife Kris and fix all the troubles in their marriage.

James also said in his statement that he will take care his family which he promise to the late President Corazon Aquino. He also gave his reason why didn't attend the inauguration of his brother-in-law/President Noynoy Aquino.

“Kilala niyo po naman ako. Tahimik at simple lang akong tao. Tingin ko din itong lahat na issues na naglalabasan siguro dapat kami na lang mag-asawa ang mag-aayos in private. Ever since naman, never niyo akong naringgan ng kung-anu-ano tungkol sa relasyon namin ni Kris.

“Kaya konting lang ang gusto kong sabihin.

“Naniniwala ako sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng buo ang pamilya. Kaya ipaglalaban ko na mapanatiling buo ang pamilya namin ni Kris anuman ang mangyari. Alam ko walang pamilyang hindi dumaan sa ganitong pagsubok. Marami na kaming dinaanang pagsubok ni Kris before and I don’t think na ngayon pa kami susuko. Gusto ko talagang i-save ang pagsasama namin dahil syempre, may anak kami at hindi biro ang halos anim na taon naming pagsasama. Umaasa pa rin ako na darating ang tamang panahon na maaayos ang lahat.

“Marami nang lumabas na mga balita at mas pinili ko na manahimik muna bilang paggalang sa ating bagong Presidente Noynoy Aquino.

“May nagtatanong din tungkol sa hindi ko pagsipot sa inauguration ni President Noynoy Aquino. Nagkausap kami at nag-text ako kay President Noynoy at naiintindihan niya ako. Ayokong makadagdag pa sa napakalaking problema na kakaharapin niya bilang bagong presidente ng ating bansa.

“At isa pa, nangako ako kay Mom Cory na hindi ko pababayaan ang pamilya namin. Na-aalagaan ko si Kris, si Josh at si Baby James. Nangako rin kami ni Kris sa harap ni Mom Cory na hindi kami maghihiwalay.

“Alam kong mahirap para sa anak ko ang nangyayaring ito sa amin ng Mama niya pero alam kong darating ang panahon na maiintindihan niya ang situwasyon. May tamang oras at panahon ang lahat.

“Baby James, ginagawa ko ito dahil sa pagmamahal ko sa pamilya natin. Gusto kong mapanatiling buo ang pamilya natin.

“Kris, marami na tayong pinagdaanan na mas mabigat na problema pa rito pero hindi talaga ako bumitaw. Nanahimik ako palagi bilang respeto sa pamilya natin na hanggang sa ngayon ay gusto ko pa ring manatiling buo. Mahal na mahal ko kayo ng anak ko, pati na si Josh na tunay na anak na ang turing ko.

”Inuulit ko, it’s final, ipaglalaban ko ang pagsasama ng pamilya natin. At sa tulong ng Diyos , alam kong malalampasan natin ang pagsubok na ito!”

TV host/actress Kris Aquino revealed that her marriage to Basketball star James Yap is now over and she gave up of pursuing to fix her 5 year marriage but she declined to gave the reasons of their split-up.

In her revelation during her interview in ABS-CBN's "The Buzz", Kris wants her personal issues to be private and refused to elaborate on the reasons behind it. She felt that she owe an explanation to her son Baby James.

Kris said, "(Whatever the reason) why this marriage, on my part I'm saying, is over, the only person I will owe an explanation to, and the only person who can demand from me (why we separated), is my son."

"He deserves to hear (the reason) only from me and only from James. We owe it to him... to explain to him."

It will be surely the hot topic in the upcoming inauguration on June 30 of his brother/Benigno Noynoy Aquino III as the new President of the Philippines.

Kris Aquino & James Yap: Marriage Problem Again!!

TV host/actress Kris Aquino is supposed to be busy with her brother Noynoy's upcoming inauguration as the new President of the Philippines but right now she's facing another marital problems.

Kris' close friend Boy Abunda described the latest controversy as a "serious" one.

Kris previously admitted in public via her Twitter page that she and husband James Yap had a “big misunderstanding” and she decided to stopped updating her twitter account for her "privacy".

It seems the couple's 5 year marriage are always being challenge with trust issues, personal misunderstanding and rumored involvement of a "third party".

Kris' personal life is almost an open book so the public can only wait and see on her next revelation, but still prayers for her and family to surpass this life challenges.

Kris Aquino's opinion and James Yap's Hit and Run basketball brawl (video)

Have you seen Kris Aquino and husband PBA player James Yap's recent interview and their explaining about the incident happened in the do-or-die wild card game were the players including James lost their cool that triggered some kicking, commotion and ball throwing.

The interview is fine but crying about the decision and penalty of the Philippine Basketball Associations (PBA), that is over the top. She just wasting her tears. Hello!!!, on court commotions is just common in a crucial basketball game. Don't make this a big deal.

James Yap accepts his responsibility as a former MVP and he apologize to the fans for his behavior. He said, “Pero inaamin kong mali ‘yong ginawa ko at humihingi ako ng patawad sa mga fans ko. ‘Di magandang example ‘yun".

For Kris, she thinks that the PBA has a hidden grudge against her husband.

Marriage counseling for Kris Aquino and James Yap

Kris Aquino's friend/manager Boy Abunda confirmed that Kris and husband PBA player James Yap is indeed split for a while but was able to patch things up and now under marriage counseling.

Reportedly, Kris and James short break-up is due to Kris cameo appearance on Ai Ai delas Alas‘ upcoming movie “Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat” without consulting her husband.


Apparently, James still has unfinished business with Ai Ai delas Alas on the Kris Aquino-James-Hope Centeno allege infidelity controversy. In that situation, Ai Ai delas Alas is vocal on her stand and she gave unsolicited advise/joke “Isoli mo muna si James sa nanay niya (You return James to her mother).”
