Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete wins Miss Universe 2010; Results and Highlights

Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete  was crowned Miss Universe 2010 beating 82 other contestants from around the world.

The 22 year-old Mexican beauty is now replacing Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez, who gave Venezuela a second consecutive win by taking the title last year.

The coronation was held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, Monday, August 23. It was hosted by Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales.

Another crowd favorite which is Miss Philippines Venus Raj entered the top 5 and placed 4th Runner-Up in the competition.

Heidi Montag's crazy performance during Miss Universe 2009

Heidi Montag-Pratt made a fool of herself during the 2009 Miss Universe competition in the Bahamas.

Aside from her terrible lip-synched with her single "Body Language", Montag's performance is terribly and embarrassingly BAD!!!! Oh lord!! She obviously cannot dance!!!

Heidi Montag-Pratt will perform at Miss Universe Pageant

It seems Heidi Montag-Pratt is serious in continuing her singing career. She will be performing at the Miss Universe 2009 Pageant competition in August 23rd on NBC.

According to Access Hollywood, the former “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!" contestant will be singing her newest single “Turn Ya Head” from her album, “Unleashed,” which came out earlier this month.

Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, and David Guetta are also set to join the said event and it will be co-hosted by Access host Billy Bush and Celebrity Apprentice star Claudia Jordan.

The resourceful people at TMZ has uncovered and posted more semi-topless photos of the so-called conservative beauty queen Miss California Carrie Prejean.

If the first topless photo of Carrie published by thedirty.com was said to be when she was 17, this set of new photos was taken just last year and she's legal age of 20.

As Carrie Prejean will parade her nipples, the fun has been cut because TMZ censored the picture.

Miss California Carrie Prejean Nude Photo Scandal; violates Pageant contract

With her controversial answer against same-sex marriage in the recent Miss USA pageant, many become interested on Miss California Carrie Prejean moral past.

The conservative beauty queen is now on the hot spot after compromising semi-nude photos of her hits the net. Dirty.com leaked photos of Carrie Prejan who is topless and just wearing pink panties and apparently totally nude photos will emerge.

According to Carrie's rep. via TMZ, "This was a photo that was taken several years ago, when Carrie first started modeling. In her naivete, an agent convinced her to pose for this photo to submit to a lingerie company, claiming they could make her the next Victoria's Secret model. She has since learned what a lie that was, and what a mistake it was to have the photo taken."

The problem is, Miss California violated her contract with Pageant's "highest ethical and moral standards", Carrie Prejean lied in writing that she never posed nude or partially nude for any photo.

A big possibility that they will strip her again, not her clothes but her title.

Miss California Carrie Prejean' honesty created controversy

It seems the usual "World Peace" answer isn't enough.

First runner-up winner Miss California Carrie Prejean captures more publicity than the winner of Miss USA 2009 for her controversial answer to a question about same-sex marriage from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Perez Hilton: “Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit. Why or why not?”

Carrie Prejean: “Well I think its great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”

To much honest that cost her the Miss USA crown and led to her being called a 'dumb bitch' by Perez.

Philippines' Karla Paula Henry was crowned Miss Earth 2008

Aside from winning Miss Earth Designers Award and Miss Photogenic special award, Philippines' bet Karla Paula Henry was crowned Miss Earth 2008, during the Coronation Night held at the Clark Expo Ampitheater in Pampanga, Sunday Nov. 9, 2008.

In the final question of the final four they were asked on what they would tell U.S. president-elect Barack Obama about the state of the global environment if ever they were to meet.

Karla Henry answered that she would encourage Obama to implement environmental knowledge in the curriculum of schools not just in the US, but also in the Philippines.

"Environmental knowledge is something that all of us must share, but most importantly we must teach the youth that this is something that we should instill in them so that in the near future they will be the ones to take care of our mother Earth."

Precious Lara Quigaman promotes Turismo Pilipina Pageant

Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman spearheaded the newly created beauty pageant, the Turismo Pilipina.

Turismo Pilipina is created by Turismo Pilipina Charities, Inc. that will conduct a nationwide search for the Filipina beauty who will be the official spokesperson for the Department of Tourism. It will promote the tourism potentials of the Philippines, instill awareness of the richness and diversity of the country’s culture and heritage thru it’s pageant theme.

Miss USA's falling down incident (video)

If there is a Hellboy sequel and upcoming sequel for Sex and the City movie, Miss USA has also a sequel in Miss Universe pageant.

Miss USA Crystle Stewart fell flat on her bottom at the Miss Universe pageant during the evening gown segment. She remain poised under pressure and she stands up and claps her hands (meaning she's okay).

Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith also suffered this embarrassing incident during her evening gown competition in last year’s Miss Universe competition in Mexico City.

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza is Miss Universe 2008

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was crowned Miss Universe 2008. She was once kidnapped in her homeland (occurred a year and a half ago) and says the experience taught her to remain poised under pressure.

Can Jennifer Barrientos of the Philippines bring home the crown? 80 beautiful women from around the world will be vying for the Miss Universe 2008 title.

ABS-CBN will telecast live via satellite the prestigious Miss Universe 2008 beauty pageant in Vietnam on July 14 (9:30 a.m.). The said event will also be telecast in primetime on Tuesday (July 15), 7:30 PM on Studio 23.

Jerry Springer and Spice Girls member Melanie Brown, will be hosting this year’s event.

Bb. Pilipinas-World Janina San Miguel defends and answer back her critics

Every year the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant event is always controversial and full of drama. This year the controversy centers to the newly crowned Bb. Pilipinas-World Janina San Miguel.

Critics are questioning her win and her bad grammar in the question and answer portion of the said event. Janina's Q&A clip in YouTube become a blooper hit and now she is being dubbed as the new "junior Melanie Marquez".

In a recent interview, she defends herself and answers back her critics. Janina admitted that she is nervous and that she didn’t quite heard the question. She said that if the question was thrown at her today, her answer would be, “Well, they serve as my inspiration.”

Miss China Zi Lin Zhang Wins Miss World 2007 and funny moment

Home crowd favorite Miss China, Zi Lin Zhang, has been crowned Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China. The 23-year old student and model bested 105 other contestants for the title.

Runners up are was Miss Angola Micaela Reis, age 18, and the 3rd placer was 19 years old Miss Mexico, Carolina Moran Gordillo. Valene Maharaj of Trinidad and Tobago and Annie Oliv of Sweden complete the Top 5.

One funny moment is when Miss china walk and waiving to the crowd, her sash drops off and down to her feet.

Miss Puerto Rico Sprayed with Pepper Spray

This is what we called, "The Beauty Pageant Dirty Tricks Handbook".

Beauty pageant organizers are investigating who sabotage Ingrid Marie Rivera. Dirty tricks doesn't stop Ingrid Marie Rivera in defeating 29 rivals to become Puerto Rico's 2008 Miss Universe contestant.

Rivera's clothing and makeup later tested positive for pepper spray.

Pageant organizers said they hope to catch and expose whoever was responsible for dousing Rivera’s evening gowns with pepper spray and spiking her makeup, causing her to break out in hives.

Rivera was composed while appearing before cameras and judges throughout the competition. But once backstage, she had to strip off her clothes and apply ice bags to her face and body, which swelled and broke out in hives twice.

Miss Canada wins the Miss Earth 2007

Half-Filipino Jessica Nicole Trisko of Canada is the newly-crowned Miss Earth for 2007.


Runners-up in Miss Earth 2007 were Miss India Pooja Chitgopekar (Miss Air); Miss Venezuela Silvana Santaella(Miss Water); and Miss Spain Ángela Gomez Duran(Miss Fire).

The preparation last year coronation is much better than this year.
