Model Cristina Garcia new PETA ad: "Practice Puppy Love: Spay or Neuter"

Model Cristina Garcia joined PETA's awareness campaign to stop the stray dog overpopulation and encourages pet owners to spay and neuter their animals.

Model Cristina Garcia, who stars in a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia, knows the way to a puppy's heart: spaying and neutering. Appearing with Rover, a dog who was abandoned at the Philippine Animal Welfare Society's (PAWS) animal shelter, Garcia asks Filipinos to help solve the country's companion animal overpopulation problem by having their cats and dogs sterilized. Having a dog or cat spayed or neutered shows true love, and it can even be a matter of life and death. There are countless dogs and cats on the street, and an animal without a home is vulnerable to injury, abuse, starvation, disease, and an early death.

“Although people may be reluctant to spay and neuter their animal companions, the fact is that sterilization is both the easiest and the most effective means available of ensuring animals’ happiness and safety,” says Garcia. “Consider the fate of the millions of unwanted animals who roam the streets of the Philippines whose parents were never spayed and neutered.”

“Born into a hostile world, unwanted animals are caged among strangers at animal shelters or, worse, abandoned on the sides of roads. They are run over by cars and attacked by other animals. They are infected with painful, contagious, and deadly diseases. Those unlucky enough to run into cruel humans are often drowned, beaten with baseball bats, suffocated in plastic bags, stabbed, shot, starved, set on fire, and tortured in countless other ways,” Garcia continues. “And the saddest tragedy of all is that before they meet some gruesome death, they reproduce, and the cycle of animal suffering continues. The best way to save the lives of homeless animals is to reduce their numbers through spaying and neutering your companion animals. “

Dogs who have not been spayed or neutered are much more likely to bite and display dominance and territorial or aggressive behavior than dogs who have been sterilized.

"Many of us wish that we could take in all the animals who are waiting in animal shelters for a warm place of their own," says PETA Asia Director Jason Baker. "But the sad truth is that as long as people continue to let their dogs and cats breed—and as long as they keep buying animals from pet stores—many, many animals will face death at a young age."

This new provocative ad was supposed to be unveiled in Montreal but Canadian authorities banned the event. They found the new ad as "sexist". According to Montreal officials, “It is not so much controversial, as it goes against all principles public organisations are fighting for in the everlasting battle of equality between men and women.”
"In a city that is known for its exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in a political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens," Anderson said in a statement released to UsMagazine.com. "In some parts of the world, women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burqas -- is that next? I didn't think that Canada would be so puritanical."

Actually with this controversy, it just created more buzz for the campaign.

Joanna Krupa's statement to the Crucifix Controversy

Joanna Krupa gave a statement defending PETA and what she done for the campaign.
"It's understandable that the Catholic League is wary of another sex scandal, but the sex we're talking about pertains to dogs and cats. As a practicing Catholic, I am shocked that the Catholic League is speaking out against my PETA ads, which I am very proud of. I'm doing what the Catholic Church should be doing, working to stop senseless suffering of animals, the most defenseless of God's creation. I am a voice for innocent animals who are being neglected and dumped by the millions at shelters. In my heart I know that Jesus would never condone the suffering that results when dogs and cats are allowed to breed."
The Catholic League felt and called the new PETA campaign as a SCAM and it exploits Christian symbols. [Controversial Racy PETA ad]

Joanna Krupa's Nude with crucifix PETA Ad; Catholic church are very angry

It seems Joanna Krupa's recent PETA ad flaunting her sexy bared back is not enough and they want more impact.

Kicking a step one notch higher in their publicity awareness, PETA has released a new racy PETA ad featuring Joanna Krupa which resulted to objections and the Catholic Church are definitely pissed.

In the said racy ad, Joanna Krupa once again is topless, wearing a pair of Angel's wings, a halo and she is holding a big crucifix.

The Catholic League called the new PETA campaign as a SCAM and it exploits Christian symbols, statement below:
It would be hard to find an organization in the U.S. which treats animals more unethically than People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). In 2008, as demonstrated by the Center for Consumer Freedom, PETA killed 95 percent of the adoptable pets in its care. PETA does not operate an adoption shelter.

Now the animal killers have launched a Christmas campaign that exploits Christian symbols. It features Playboy queen Joanna Krupa: before Thanksgiving it showed a side angle of her naked from the waist up holding a dog and a rosary; she is adorned with angel wings and a halo. The inscription below reads, “Be an Angel for Animals: ALWAYS ADOPT. NEVER BUY.”

Today PETA bares Krupa on a Los Angeles billboard. According to Hollywood.com, she appears “as a winged angel, covered by a carefully-placed crucifix.” Once again, the target is pet stores.

The fact is that cats and dogs are a lot safer in pet stores than they are in the hands of PETA employees. Moreover, pet stores don’t rip off Christian iconography and engage in cheap irreligious scams.

PETA is a fraud. It also has a long and disgraceful record of exploiting Christian and Jewish themes to hawk its ugly services. Those who support this organization sorely need a reality check. They also need a course in Ethics 101.
Surely, the new racy Ad is too much.

This is the second time Joanna Krupa has posed for PETA. She previously joined the good cause of "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur".

You're acting like you're the youngest guy on the team.'"

Pink told Australia's FHM, “Kanye West is the person p***ing me off right now. I was at Stella McCartney’s fashion show with the vice president of PETA, Paul McCartney and Kanye."

"The entire time Kanye was going, ‘They need more fur in this show.’ He just wouldn’t shut up about how much he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney! I was just grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot’. There are so many people who are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”
