Kim Kardashian Lays in Coffin for World AIDS Day; Digital sacrifice campaign

Kim Kardashian is joining the other celebrities in raising the awareness for World AIDS Day on Wednesday December 1. The reality star also participated in a new ad which shows her lays in a coffin.

Kim is also signing off from Twitter and Facebook until $1 million is raised!

The new Ad reads: "Kim Kardashian Is Dead," and explains "Kim sacrificed her digital life to give real life to millions of others affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Visit BuyLife.org or text 'KIM' to '90999' to buy her life now."

The event is organized by Alicia Keys and some of the celebrities joining the digital sacrifice are Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Usher.

Angelina Jolie Visits With Pakistani Flood Victims; "I am very moved by them"

Continuing her humanitarian ways, Angelina Jolie is in Pakistan to meet the displaced victims due to the recent heavy flood, on Tuesday (September 7).

UNHCR goodwill ambassador Jolie told reporters, "I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to, today and tomorrow, be able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all of the people in need in Pakistan."

She also recorded a PSA ad to help out the flood victims.

GMA-7's primetime actor and environmental activist Richard Gutierrez will host the documentary series entitled “Anatomy of a Disaster” which focus on the natural disaster that destroy our planet and  the proper education to prepare and avoid these calamities.

In the wake of a natural disaster, a multitude of questions, from “why did it happen?” to “how can it be avoided in the future,” frequently arises. And despite the pressing urgency to educate people on matters of the environment, some concerns are still not properly addressed, if not totally unanswered.

Beginning Sunday, August 22, GMA-7, through Greenpeace advocate Richard Gutierrez, brings environmental awareness to television viewers as it unravels some of the most destructive natural disasters in our planet’s history with its latest monthly documentary series titled Anatomy of a Disaster.

Considered to be a more comprehensive version of Richard’s former infotainment show Full Force Nature, Anatomy of a Disaster features different stories of tragedy, survival, and heroism adapted from the international AOD series of the same title. Each of the 13 episodes provides a scientific and detailed account of various natural disasters such as volcanic eruption, flood, hurricane, earthquake, and climate change, among others, in both local and international contexts.
For its local component, Richard will revisit some of the most catastrophic calamities ever to struck our country through interviews with environmental experts, eyewitness accounts, and actual footages, and deliver his spiels entirely on location.

The pilot episode on Volcanic Eruption will take viewers on a trek to Mt. Pinatubo as Richard vividly narrates its earth-shattering eruption in 1990. The explosion, which resulted to the second largest earthquake recorded that year, claimed hundreds of innocent lives, and destroyed thousands of homes in Zambales and nearby provinces.

Realizing that readiness is key to survival, Anatomy of a Disaster also provides viewers with substantial information and practical solutions on how to respond to and prepare for future disasters.
Directed by Rico Gutierrez, the first installment of Anatomy of a Disaster airs this Sunday, August 22, on GMA-7′s Sunday Night Box Office (SNBO).

Top Hollywood’s young stars joined together to deliver this new PSA campaign called “Change The Odds,” in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), an initiative raising funds for cancer research.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Donate $1 Million to Doctors Without Borders (Haiti victims)

Influential couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie extends their helping hands to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The couple's foundation donated $1 million to the Doctors Without Borders for the organization's emergency medical operations.

The "Salt" star said, "It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades."

Brad added, "We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care."

Haiti is recovering from 7.0-magnitude earthquake and after shocks.

The queen of Pop Madonna is urging all of you to help Malawi's one million orphans.

The 51-year-old singer said, "I am making a straightforward request. I'm writing to urge you to join me in saving the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable children. And I'm asking you to do it right away."

She added, "Right now, I am particularly concerned about Malawian girls whose lives are made even more difficult simply because of their gender....Malawi's poorest girls are eager for the opportunities that a comprehensive secondary education will bring them. But we're still in need of additional funds to complete this project, and there's no time to lose....The girls of Malawi are bright and resourceful. They are eager to learn and grow. When I look at my girls and see them thriving, it is my greatest wish that the girls in Malawi will have the same chance for happiness."

Aside from being an on-screen action hero, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is an off-screen hero promoting awareness against the slow but deadly "Diabetes".

Task as the new national ambassador for the Diabetes Aware campaign, Johnson said, "I want to encourage families to be active and eat right. Small steps can go a long way in managing diabetes, its complications, and raising healthy, active children."

The campaign aims to help sufferers of the blood sugar disorder cope with health issues while maintaining their everyday activities with proper monitoring and management.

Hayden Panettiere needs 1 million signatures

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donate $1 million for Pakistan refugees

In support of Angelina Jolie's continues relationship with the UN Refugee Agency, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation gave $1 million to help the people in Pakistan which were displaced by violence and other resurgence.

According to People, Agency head António Guterres, thanked the foundation for its assistance, calling Pakistan's plight "the most challenging humanitarian crisis of the past decade."

Brangelina and "Pitt's family" recently gave a large donation to St. John’s Hospital for the Cancer research and the creation of the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center (named after Brad’s mother) in Springfield, Missouri.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and family donated $1 million to St. John's Hospital in Missouri

Continuing their charitable ways, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and his family donated $1 million to St. John's Hospital in Missouri.

Brad's bother Doug Pitt, announced the good news and it will be use to establish an endowment fund to pay cancer specialists.

It will also use as expansion for a new pediatric unit, a 10-bedroom hospital-based Ronald McDonald house and doubling the size of the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.

The cancer treatment center will be renamed the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, in honor of Brad's mom, who is supports children's issues.
